They offer a la carte and self service food, inside and outside. There is a nice playground for the kids as well. Interesting hamburgers (localised with different cheeses and ingredients) as well as pizzas, Flammkuchen, etc. Can recommend as a stop after the visit of the gorge.

This is in a very good position for the major hiking routes on up the valley and also the postbus stop. There is a terrace outside and a cosy interior. Staff are friendly but my only moan would be the time it took to get served first off. This meant I had to just have a drink as the postbus was due and we could not miss it.

We actually ended up going to this restaurant two nights in a row, we enjoyed it so much. The service was SO friendly, open, and fun. It made our trip feel more like a vacation to be welcomed with such big smiles and heart. The food was just fine...nothing absolutely amazing, but it felt really really really good in there. The building is great, the tables and atmosphere are warm and inviting, and there was a big selection of swiss and european food. My 12 year old also loved it, and ended up being happy to sit for almost 2 hours, which I think is a big review in itself. I got two different kinds of Roesti and my kid got Schnitzel and Spaghetti Bolognese. He loved his dishes and mine were fine. The wine was fantastic. I look forward to going back.
We decided to try this restaurant since it is closest restaurant from the train station with a good review on TripAdvisor. We ordered Cordon Blue, Mixed Salad, and Soup. I especially liked their colorful and tasty vegetable sides on a pretty square dishes. The atmosphere was very cozy and warm.

We were at the Hotel Alpbach Restaurant to celebrate a wedding anniversary with a party of 9 guests, and we had a fantastic experience. The service was attentive and reasonably quick and the food was exceptional. With a party of our size, we sampled many items from the menu, and all were happy with their meal. The green salad with house dressing was fantastic. The Chinese fondu is a HUGE amount of food, but it also seemed to be unreasonably expensive relative to the other meals served. We really enjoyed our time there and recommend it.

Worth trying the huge "signature dish" meringue here. It's your classic local Swiss cafe- styling from the 70s but the history of the meringue gives it a nice feel. Adjoining bakery for all your healthy purchases!

I went there with my 8y old daughter and we ordered a small portion of spaghetti, and for me salmon with vegetables and rice. We asked the waitress not to add the peperoncini to the spaghetti, because my daughter does not eat spicy food. Unfortunately the waitress apparently forgot to tell the kitchen, and when she brought the food - spaghetti with peperoncini - apologised for this, and offered to prepare another plate of spaghetti, in case it was too spicy for my daughter. It indeed was and within 5 min the kitchen produced a new plate of spaghetti. At first, the service was sort of neutral, not overly friendly (but also not rude or unfriendly), but towards the end of the meal the waitress was actually smiling and even engaged in some small talk with us.Dessert was an espresso and a piece of torta della nonna, which was ok but not more than that. This torta should be a crumbly and soft pastry, filled with rich and delicate custard cream, and topped with tasty pine nuts, but in this version the pastry was not soft and also the custard cream was pretty solid, perhaps because it just came out of the fridge. All in all an ok meal for a Wednesday evening, but not more than that. The bill was CHF 72, for: 1 apple juice, 1 glas of red wine (1 dl), a small portion of spaghetti, salmon with rice and vegetables (CHF 38), 1 espresso, 1 piece of torta del nonna. At the end of the meal the waitress gave my daughter a small bag of gummi bears. I tipped CHF 4.

Cozy inn in the Bernese chalet style. Rustic kitchen with local, seasonal specialties. Newly renovated rooms and apartments.
We had the distinct please of an excellent evening meal including perhaps the best soup we have ever tasted ... Bärlauch Suppe! Very regrettably it does not seem that Bärlauch would grow here in Crete but we will definitely return to the Gasthof Zur Post for more!Dear kritiko e,Thank you very much for your visit in Hasliberg and for your kind review on Tripadvisor! We are happy that you liked our seasonal specialties so much! Also for us the Bärlauch is a rare delight, since it's only growing during a very short time in spring. We would be happy to welcome you back soon.Greetings from sunny Hasliberg.Sandro, Gabie & the Poestli crew

Contemporary design and alpine tradition await in the Victoriaâs à la carte restaurant. Fresh, vibrant, authentic. Chef and host Simon Anderegg stands at the stove each day. His secret recipe: a passion for quality, a love of fresh, natural products and a
After having stayed at the Hotel Victoria on 5 previous occasions, we were in the area in chalet accommodation and on the last evening of our holiday decided to eat at the Victoria based on previous visits. Started off just fine with an attentive and chatty waiter, however, by the time we finished our main course, the original waiter appeared to have finished his shift and we were left for over half an hour before my partner managed to catch the eye of another waiter to ask for the dessert menu. This was met with "is there something I can help you with?", in a tone of voice that made us feel like we had done something wrong. Dessert menu was duly requested and off the waiter went. We then watched him inside polishing glasses behind the bar and clearing tables instead of dealing with our request. We waited and watched for a further 10 minutes or so and then decided to leave. As soon as we went inside to pay (frankly, the waiting staff were so inattentive we could easily have walked off without paying) the dessert menus were suddenly produced and excuses of it being a busy evening were made. Our last evening in Switzerland was really spoilt by this experience. We didn't experience such inattentive service anywhere else during a 2 week stay in 2 regions of Switzerland. On our previous stays at the hotel, the very same issue occurred one evening and it is clear there is an issue with, I suspect, the shift patterns of the waiting staff (some seem to finish early at about 9.30pm) and the lack of a maitre d'hotel or other person overseeing service in the restaurant. Hit or miss service really - you might get a waiter who is working until closing time, otherwise make sure you finish before about 9.30 or you'll just be forgotten about. Hugely annoying and completely avoidable.Food overall was good, but my perch filets were not properly pin boned (also the second time I have experienced this at the Victoria), so a small heap of fish bones was left on my plate. We wanted dessert and coffee but weren't given the opportunity to have these, so cannot comment on those for this visit. The next time we stay in the area we will probably not be visiting the Victoria again for either food or accommodation.Dear ChrisR1275Thank you for sharing your impressions of your visit. We are sorry that we were not able to satisfy you in our Restaurant and we apologise for the way you were looked after that evening. We are aware of some difficulties with our service staff members and we promise you, that we are working hard with trainings. We're wishing you all the best and thank you again for your visit. Kind regards, Franziska & Simon Anderegg, Hotel Victoria Meiringen
