Went to this bar on my way to the train station. It is a nice little bar, with mostly high chairs inside but also outside on the little terrace. Cocktails are available as well as wine by the glass (a choice of 3 white and 3 red) at decent prices (from CHF 5 for a pleasant Italian Anghelia 2013 from Sardinia). And the barman was very welcoming and helping. A very nice place for a drink in Glarus.

We visited this restaurant last month and had dinner with friends. The service was very friendly and professional. Food frish, very good and tasty. We had fish and enjoyed it very much. The location is just great with a beatiful view, secluded and quiet.

My lunch began badly: I had the impression that the waitresses were running around without noticing my table. However my fears proved definitely unfounded. The tenant lady handed me the menu five minutes later - apologizing profusely for the wait and explaining that this was due to lunchtime rush. Bringing the drink the waitress also apologized. Nice words of explanation are always appreciated!During the meal the waitresses were efficient and smiling. The food was classic with no surprise. As starter the tomato soup was good and well-seasoned. As main course the veal escalope was perfectly grilled and served with a mixed salad. For dessert I opted for the homemade creme caramel which was simple and good. All in all a good no-fuss lunch at fair prices.

The combination of both good food and excellent sights made this experience one not to forget. Arriving at the restaurant patrons are greeted with a view of Lake Klonetalersee sitting at the base of the valley between two mountain ranges. The additional element of clouds beginning to form made the experience even more memorable. The dishes were delicious as orders were made for veal, steak and pasta using local cheeses. We found the restaurant make it priority to source food from local suppliers, especially cheese, which enhances freshness. The service was prompt, kind and professional and with views as from the patio, a return stop if in the area again would be definite.
