The Restaurant Suesswinkel is one of the oldest restaurants in the city of Chur and spreads a very special charm through its centuries-old tradition.
We tried this on recommendation by a Swiss friend. Very disappointing. Interior is like a boarding school that has been repainted multiple times over the years. Zero atmosphere or appeal.Service so, so. Food service was slow.Decent enough food; good job on steak and veg.

Comfortable smal Oldtown Restaurant directly at the St. Martinsplace
Came to Chur for a day trip and found dead this restaurant while exploring. I noticed that they had my favourite speciality from the region on their card: Capuns. It was absolutely delicious and the service was super friendly even though they were very busy during lunch. Definitely recommending this restaurant and hopping to go back soon.

We came a long way from Australia to Chur and it was much to my surprise when my wife picked out this restaurant. To all outward appearances it looks like your run of the mill Swiss restaurant. However... Much to my surprise they served me the best enchilada I've ever had with smoky beef and cheese and a great salad filling. My wife had nachos which I tasted and were pretty good. Staff were absolutely fantastic and a credit to themselves. We couldn't be happier.

HERZLICH WILLKOMMEN IM RESTAURANT CALANDA Ob frische Biere aus dem Fass, diverse Köstlichkeiten aus Küche und Keller oder ein gemütlicher Apéro am Feierabend: Das Restaurant Calanda heisst Sie sieben Tage die Woche herzlich willkommen am Churer Postplatz.
It was one of the few restaurants opened on Easter Monday and not expecting much either but it was an excellent surprise especially the service and the decor. The waitress was very attentive and friendly, recommended the local beers and the beef stroganoff. One of the best dining experience during the entire Switzerland trip.

Two years ago I wrote a review saying this place was so good, we'd eaten there twice! The same applies again. Friendly and attentive staff and the food was as well-presented and delicious as we'd remembered. The restaurant is about five minutes walk from the station and not in the old town so as a tourist you wouldn't walk past it as a matter of course but it is well worth making the effort to find it. I've no doubt we will return on our next visit to Chur.

I don't know why James is #1. It is an ordinary bar with mediocre pizza. Wine and beer were *somewhat* reasonably priced. Nice service, menus available in English for those of us who do not speak High Alps German. Overall evaluation: Meh.

The Restaurant Veltliner Weinstuben zum Stern or Bündner Stuben ist with ist over 330 years of Age the historic Restaurant in chur. Our awardwinning Chef celebrates a regional, seasonal cuisine, a touch of Gourmet but yet comfortable and friendly athmosph
We stopped by Bundner Stube late one afternoon and luckily reserved a table in the back room for a mid-evening meal. While the atmosphere was lovely and the service was attentive, we were disappointed with our main meals, especially given the hype about its regional fare and vegetarian options. On the plus side, a vegetarian amuse bouche with mustard sauce was an unexpected and delicious treat, a locally sourced mixed salad was great, and a tart Pinot Grigio from nearby Maienfeld was surprisingly tasty. But our entrees were disappointing: a potatoes, apples, and cheese dish was surprisingly bland, and a buckwheat pasta with vegetables dish was only so-so.If only to experience the lovely setting and generally strong old-world service, it's worth visiting Bundner Stube. But if you're looking for great veggie meals to match up with the ambience, you might want to check out other, less expensive options in Chur.So many thanks for visiting Switzerland and dining at our restaurant â the Veltliner Weinstube zum Stern or known also as the Romantik Hotel Stern Restaurant in Chur. Your feedback is of great value and will encourage us to work even harder. Check out our Facebook side for latest news. We wish you continues pleasant journeys and would be delighted to welcome you back in the not too distant future to the Stern in Chur. Best regards, your host Adrian K. Mueller

This restaurant is a local spot and has been there 40+ years. It is cute and charming. The food was fantastic. The waitress was lovely. It was packed on a Tuesday evening with locals and were lucky to get a table at 8pm. Highly recommend
