The combination of both good food and excellent sights made this experience one not to forget. Arriving at the restaurant patrons are greeted with a view of Lake Klonetalersee sitting at the base of the valley between two mountain ranges. The additional element of clouds beginning to form made the experience even more memorable. The dishes were delicious as orders were made for veal, steak and pasta using local cheeses. We found the restaurant make it priority to source food from local suppliers, especially cheese, which enhances freshness. The service was prompt, kind and professional and with views as from the patio, a return stop if in the area again would be definite.

Urnerboden is a large Alp along the road to the Klausen pass (canton of Uri but Glaris side). There is a great restaurant on top of the valley (which also offers rooms we did not see). You can get great meals (Swiss cuisine) and deserts there. This restaurant is also known in Switzerland as a shottish (Swiss folks music, fast walse) has the name "Urnerbode Kaffi" which is one of the best known as nearly every band plays it.pore

I went there with my mum and we had a lovely and delicious meal. It was the eglifilet, which very perfect like the salad and dessert. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. They also have a nice terrasse to side in the summer outside
This is a nice restaurant at the bottom of wonderful mountainsThe quality of food is good, the employees are super nice and the price is very acceptable for Switzerland Do not hesitate go there and spend a good time

After a winter hiking tour I stopped at Cristal for a coffee break. The location is great - sunny the whole afternoon and with superb views of the surrounding mountains.Friendly and smiling welcome - although it was the last day of the winter season.I chose a homemade LInzer Torte with vanilla ice-cream: quite decent, though not exceptional.Along with an apple juice and a coffee the check amounted to CHF15 - a cheap price considering the top location.
actually I want write a review on the hotel Tödi's Blick. The restaurant is located in the hotel.the hotel (and therefore the retaurant) has a fantastic location with a splendid view.nice owners.wonderful breakfast.I even got a marvellous breakfast much earlier than usal time since I was trekking off early.the rooms are nice, even with hair dryer.

I went to Nussbuel after a long walk around the mountains. It was lovely and warm and the staff were very friendly. I spoke English so everyone did their best to speak it to me, and a member of staff spoke fluently so she talked to me most.It is set between to forest areas, with a view over the valley and towards the mountains. There is a deck area for use in good weather. The inside has quite traditional wood Swiss decor, with a very low ceiling. The menu is quite traditional Swiss, I had a Bouillon Soup and then Kalbswurst with Rosti potato, then Gugelhupf! And a hot chocolate. It was raining when I arrived so they gave me an umbrella for the walk home, which they would pick up later. It is apparently always open according to the staff.A really nice place to go for lunch on a walking day.
