Sushi & Roll is located where Fuji Sushi Restaurant was situated in Port Moody, BC. Sushi & Roll also has a location in Surrey, BC. This was our 1st visit to Sushi & Roll since the departure of Fuji Sushi from this location. We were there for lunch and had their teriyaki beef & sushi/sashimi lunch bento boxes, along with a side order of agedashi tofu. The food was freshly prepared, good & fairly priced. When we were there, there were only 2 other parties and 1 waitress/server. We found the waitress to be friendly & courteous. Hopefully, they'll have more than 1 wait staff when they get better known & busy.We would return for lunch again & certainly try them for dinner.
This is a true gem in the suburb of Port Moody. The food here is AUTHENTIC Japanese made by Master Chef Toshiaki Hataguchi. He used to be around the Lougheed area, retired but has now reopened in a secluded area as he is not looking to be in such a busy place anymore. He is doing this for the love of being a chef which makes the food that much better. You will feel like you are in the "local" Japanese sushi place in a back street of Osaka or Yokohama, if you know what I mean. Fresh and quality is obvious. But what set this place apart is the authenticity and the food is an art. Service is lacking since there are no official servers. Be prepared to wait and DIY on certain things, just like his old store/restaurant. This is not a downside at all, you are like a family when you are here dining.Just writing this makes me want to order some more sushi and sashimi and donburi and udon and...

Excellent fresh sushi. Interesting decor which created a funky vibe. Biggest draw back was the awkward service. Questions about the menu required input from the kitchen (shouted from our table no less). Quite disarming for other patrons in the path of the back and forth shouted from our table to the kitchen. Had to ask a number of times to clear shared plates and sparkly water bottles. The most eager action from the wait staff was the bill payment which they attempted to have us pay twice. It was an excellent meal but the service was so below average it ruined the over all experience. Would not recommend and wonât return.

Proudly voted as the 2016 & 2018 Tri-Cities's Favorite Sushi & Japanese Restaurant by the Tri-Cities Newspaper, Murasaki Japanese Restaurant offers a variety of traditional style Japanese Sushi & Hot food in Newport Village, Port Moody. Chuck and Gracia D
Good food, good service, decent atmosphere. Prices are a bit high for what it is, but not ridiculous. With so many other similar Japanese restaurants around, this isn't somewhere that I would go out of my way to visit, but it's certainly not a bad option if you're in the area and want a good meal.

We visited Nagano in Coquitlam last week and were really disappointed with our meals. I had Teriyaki Salmon and my husband had Teriyaki Beef and we both thought our dinners were tasteless and unappetizing. The service was really terrible. The server got our orders wrong, forgot to bring rice, didn't offer tea or water and over-charged us by $10.00. It was an error but considering the whole evening, we will not return.

Hanayuki Sushi just opened in late March. Exciting new sushi restaurant in the Tri-Cities area. Promptly greeted and served by welcoming, friendly and attentive service personnel. The premises, decor, furnishings and cleanliness are all rated excellent. The food order was prepared in more than reasonable time and was both freshly made and delicious. Menus x 2 - large number of regular fare items and special custom variants.Easy off-street parking in the Heritage Mountain Village shopping centre.Well done to the owners and staff. We will be back (& frequently!) for both eat in and take out!

Iâve been coming to sushi town for years because the food is usually always good the prices are decent. But donât except fast and friendly service or a sanitary environment. The Soya Sauce containers are always filthy, the walls have never been washed and they is never a shortage of fruit flies to keep you company when your eating. If your not getting anything hot like gyoza or tempura they pick it up and eat it at home!

Itâs my motherâs favourite dish, so I ordered a lunch special that included black cod. Itâs the best fish I have ever tasted. Light but packed with flavour. Cooked perfectly and paired with stir fried vegetables. Fresh sushi and delicious homemade ginger. Excellent service. Plenty of parking. Clean washrooms. A bit pricy but the quality and experience was worth it!

Great place for takeout or dine in. The crispy roll is delicious with prawns and crab meat. We enjoyed the chicken teriyaki with rice and noodles. The tempura is good as is the sunomono, the miso and the California roll. Service is fast and very friendly. All in all it's a great place to dine in Port Moody.
