This restaurant offers excellent quality sushi and other dishes in a nice atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and speaks English. The uni with some sort of noodles was outstanding. The Tripadvisor map in English does not show the accurate location, the restaurant is on Daimon Naka Dori. You can enter "ã¯ãã ã¦é®¨éç·æ¬åº" into Google Map and it will take you where you should. These are the approximate coordinates: 41.772641, 140.730487

This was the recommendation from Ryokan Wakamatsu where we were staying. Our request for dinner reservations only came about at 4pm so the restaurant was full already, and they could only slot us in at 6pm.After a 10 min taxi ride, we arrived at the restaurant where a chiller display in front proudly displayed various cuts of beef. Seems like a good start. Given the location, itâs not anywhere near the usual touristy locations. We were brought to our table in a private room on the second floor, and it seemed like every party were in their own private rooms. We sat on tatami mats on the floor, cross-legged. So for those who struggle to sit in this fashion for the duration of a meal, pls do reconsider.Suffice to say the beef served was really fabulous and pricing wise was relatively affordable and consistent to what we would have paid in Singapore, but the quality being superior. Be warned that the menu is only in Japanese and the staff spoke very little English. Do balance the meal with a salad or two, as they were equally delicious. We left feeling very satisfied and contented. The experience was worth every Yen we paid.

I love sushi, I'm Japanese, and I'm originally from Hakodate. This place serve the best sushi in Hakodate- hands down!If you are used to over seas quality sushi prices- you will find this place affordable.Lunch starts at 2500 yen (about US $25) and Dinner around 150 USD for the top quality sushi!! So worth it!Sit at the sushi bar unless you are a group.Oh but you can't take pictures of the sushi at the sushi bar as camera is not allowed at all.Sushi chief explains how each piece is best eaten and where the fish is from.Reservation is highly recommended to prevent your disappointment!!You can use credit cards!I can't wait to go back again ASAP!

Found this place by chance looking for an authentic kaiten style sushi. Located by the sea side with a great view. Parking is available. Crowded during peak times so expect 30 to 50 minutes wait. There are table & sushi bar seating. Prices are reasonable for fresh & high quality sushi. Service is friendly & quick. Some language gaps but manageable. We sat facing the itamae (sushi chefs). Just point to the menu when ordering & they make it fresh. Or take from the conveyor belt which has the popular items. The seafood were really fresh & oh so good. Look out for the platter items on the menu. You get better choices like trio of fish egg or trio of tuna cuts. Able to try more. Prices are denoted by the plate's color ranging from 150 to 550Â¥ if not mistaken. Green tea is complimentary. Once you are done the wait staff will calculate the total & just head to the cashier to settle your bill.Highly recommended. It was a great dinner. Happy we found this place. Will surely return if we visit Hakodate again.

Love the live Octopus. They catch your order of octopus from the tank in front of you, clean them and serve while it is still moving. I never taste octopus that fresh and tasty. Seafood pot is great and service is excellent even they do not have english menu nor speaks english.

My son and I always order Aburi Zanmai, lightly toasted Sushinata such as flounder, scallop etc. This Sushi restaurant is far from the JR Hakodate Station but worth a visit. Service is polite.Price is reasonable.

Kaikobo is a great seafood restaurant is located in the Asaichi - morning-market area. We had a cod tempura dish, hairy crab, oysters, salad, salmon and salmon egg omisubi (rice ball). They also served a tasty appetizer of smoked scallops and egg roll on kelp (kazunoko). All of the dishes were absolutely delicious. We will definitely make a return trip to the restaurant the next time weâre in Hakodate.

The food is superb and very reasonably priced. Trust me when I say pricing is reasonable. Unlike some comments I read about how pricy it is etc, probably they are expecting $1 sushi, well I donât think they have that in Japan. For the quality you are getting at this place, the pricing totally reasonably. 3 pax total about SGD$40. Freshness in the sushi brings out the sweetness as well for the sashimi. You can tell the waiter that you want sashimi and not sushi and the chef will do it for youEnglish menu available.Have fun !
