Korean / Japanese cuisine, reasonably priced with good portions..The owner/chef, Stephen, is almost always in the kitchen preparing the delicious dishes from his very broad menu.Some of the dishes are difficult to pronounce but be adventurous, Iâve almost tried everything and have never been disappointed...Absolutely Abbotsfordâs Best Kept Secret..

Great selection of Japanese cuisine.Very well prepared. Everything is amazingly fresh.Small place, well staffed. The service is quite good.Sashimi and rolls were delicious.

Heard lots of good stuff about this place, so decided to give it a try for dinner. Ordered the dinner box to share, edamame and gyoza appetizers, and extra Tako sunomono salad and miso soup. The miso soup was barely warm and very watery, not good at all. The edamame was dried out, like it had been sitting in the fridge for days and then nuked. Thankfully, the pork gyoza was decent. The California roll had too much mayo and was sloppy looking on the plate, not even rolled properly. The tempura batter was very heavy and greasy. Some kind of item, maybe a meatball, on a skewer and smothered in sauce, was just disgusting. The chicken teriyaki pieces were way to large to eat with chopsticks, and were very dried out, almost like jerky. The fresh fruit, however, was very juicy and tasty. Food was not great, and prices were on the high side. Cannot recommend it, and won't return. There are lots of better places out there.

As basic as it gets. But the food is good and at a very reasonable price. If you just want a good meal and not a fancy sitting -try out this. My wifes sushi was excellent, and so was my Teriyaki.Recommended.

This is one of my favourite sushi restaurants. My wife and I have been coming here for nearly 10 years now and it's always been consistently good. The food is fresh - especially the sushi - and the owner goes out of his way to make us feel welcome. We generally order our food to go and have never been disappointed. We've also tried the party trays on more than one special occasion and have found them to be terrific.It looks like a hole in the wall, but renovations have spruced it up somewhat. It's still small for dining in, but it really does have some of the tastiest Japanese food around.

My friends and I go to or order for pick up from Maruya sushi at least once a week. The sashimi is large pieces and always fresh... They even have lobster tempura. We have been at least 20 times and no complaints. We always feel welcome.

5* ... the best sushi we've had in Canada! An extensive menu of fun rolls - served as huge portions. The sashimi was particularly good. We don't normally order bento boxes, but there are several to choose from here, with genuinely authentic selections & big enough for even the hungriest appetite! Enjoy this excellent restaurant : )

We came on a Sunday night ,ordered a big meal ,and we barely had time to finish ,when the chef came to our table ,and very rudely said ,that we need to leave .There is a way to inform a customer ,that the restaurant is closing, and we should have been told ,that the amount of food we ordered ,could not be consumed ,in the short time we had ,before the restaurant closes.Will never visit again.

Live near by, eat there at least twise a month or more. Love take out and eat at home. Can't get enough. The vegas roll is our favorite and the Edi mayo.

We spent a great day in Langley with our good friends. For lunch, we headed to Hirame sushi. We ordered a lot of food and it was all good! Sushi tower, sushi/nigiri boat with tempura, spider roll, pizza sushi - my favourite as rice was crisp and the salad refreshing, sushi box with gyoza, California yam roll, sunomono salad, miso soup, chicken karage. We all left full and satisfied:)
