The restaurant serves quality food in a nice setting. Good place to bring your partner. Some attention has been given to the decor and in how they put together the food. Prices still very reasonable. My vegetable risotto was good, and the chocolate tortino was excellent (see pics). Recommended. PS Situated in a somewhat deserted part of town but worth finding!

Eight of us had dinner in this restaurant at the end of June after seeing it recommended in the Lonely Planet Guide and having read some of the ecstatic reviews on Tripadvisor. I can only wonder why the place is not at the top of the latter's list of places to eat in Reggio Calabria. At first sight I was a bit apprehensive. We were the first to arrive (at 19.30) and the exterior of the building and the street itself looked more than a little shabby. Indeed I had to get help to make sure I didn't park into very deep pothole. But hey, this is Calabria. In fact, our table was beautifully laid out and the welcome was genuinely warm and helpful. Like others and at the suggestion of the chef, we shared the appetizers. Warning:these are a delicious meal in themselves. The accent is on meat - cooked and raw. So, if you are a vegetarian, this may not be the place for you. We accepted the waiter's recommendation for which local wines to have;all were excellent and not overpriced. 300⬠for eight people, including a generous (and deserved) tip: great value.Thank you Molepole for your review. We love our work and try, everyday, to transfer this love to our guests. I'm sorry for the "pothole" on the street, we call everyday, for months, the city adminstration to repair it, but there is a legal problem by City Hall and the owner of building. We had a night left in Reggio and we were looking for some steak and burgers for dinner and Mr Burn was recommended to us.Ermando greeted us and was a fantastic host. Because we spoke very little Italian, Ermando went out of his way to help us understand the menu and make us enjoy the night, suggesting good wine to go with the meal.Highly recommended to anyone in the areaThanks for your review! Cozy place for meat lovers .Firstly we had some chef recommended starter with ricotta cheese and some fried rice ball..secondly I had black angus steak which was delicious, soft and bloody, loved it!My partner had a wagyu steak which was melting in the mouth, very tasteful.

We were a large group of 14 and the were very graceful in seating and serving all of us. The initial salads were great. We enjoyed tasting Portuguese flavors. The meat servings were tasty and no one left starving. Lots of sampling that was very good.

...but terrible service. I don't have much to say about the pizzas: they were good. Not out-of-this-world, but good.The service, however, lets this whole place down. We waited for ages to be seated (the guy whose only job appeared to be seating people forgot about us), but we persisted because it was late. Then at the table, the waiter stood over us while we read through the beer menu, the drinks were brought promptly though. Following this we waited 20 minutes just to give the food order. Finally, the plates were whisked away while we were both still chewing the last mouthful. It didn't feel at all like they wanted the table.I won't be back. Gli Sbronzi desperately needs staff training.
