Find out what Steakhouse restaurants to try in Laredo. Located on the border between Mexico and the U.S., on U.S. I-35 and Mexican Federal Highway 85, Laredo is America's largest inland port and one of the oldest border crossing points. Once capital of the briefly held independent Republic of the Rio Grande, the city has survived a long history of conflict and friendship between the U.S. and Mexico. Its legacy is a rich community boasting unique shopping, lively entertainment and festivals, including the month-long Washington's Birthday Celebration.

First time at this restaurant inside the Embassy Suites Hotel - I know better than to eat dinner at most hotel restaurants, but I got lazy and decided to give it a shot. Ordered the seafood pasta which had shrimp, calamari, and scallops over angel hair pasta topped with a red sauce. Sauce was good and a little spicy but the calamari was rubbery and the scallops were over cooked to the point of having the tenure of cooked chicken. Bread was good. Had dessert of creme brûlée. The sugar on top was heated to the point of melting the custard below. Not a great experience...perhaps I should have just ordered a steak. Dear Lifeontheroad, Thank you for your review, I wish I had a chance to recommend you our best dishes. The Seafood Diavolo is spicy and is the only pasta dish that we offered in our menu. I agree with you, I think a steak would have been a great experience. We also have a wonderful Sea Bass that melts in your mouth. The food and beverage service at our hotel is a complement to our core business however since we do not depend on the food sales we make every effort to deliver the best possible product and service. We buy the best food and we deliver the food with outstanding service. Because we don't depend on the profit from our restaurant service I feel we are able to deliver better food and service than any free standing restaurant. If I may, please contact me directly on your next trip to Laredo I will like for you to be my guess. Art MenendezGeneral Manager [email protected]

Excellent steakhouse!  We split a 14 oz center cut ribeye and got three appetizers - the Chistorra (Spanish sausage - made of beef for those of you who don't eat pork),  the Provoleta (pan fried Provolone cheese), and Camarones Maclean (shrimp with Argentinian beer batter).  The beer batter shrimp was outstanding!  It came with a sauce that was almost like bearnaise sauce except with fresh oregano instead of tarragon.  I ended up saving the sauce for the steak as well.  The steak was very good but could have used some extra sauce on the side which they don't have - HINT: my favorites are bearnaise sauce and red wine sauce with shallots or mushrooms or green peppercorns.  Steak sauce may not be authentic Argentinian, but does add a lot to the flavor of the steak.  One final compliment - the bread was outstanding!  Flaky crust, soft center, freshly made.  It came with  olive oil with fresh oregano and chicken pate as well as the usual butter.  I'm not into pate, but the chicken pate was not bad at all.  The oregano in the olive oil was obviously fresh as its flavor was soaked into the olive oil.  The restaurant decor was fairly elegant, with white table cloth (the extra napkin under the main plate and utensils is a nice touch), dark wood, and just the right amount of romantic mood lighting, bright enough to see the food, and not too dark.  Service was excellent, and there is a good wine list, starting with a number of Malbecs, my favorite. The menu has a many other things to try, and this is definitely one of the best restaurants in Laredo.  You wouldn't know it though, from the locals, as there weren't that many people there with us, compared to the Border Foundry next door (which is really  more a place for well-heeled Laredoans to be seen and to socialize in, rather than having really outstanding food).  So let's hope the people of Laredo get out and support this restaurant better.Dear GGreyhame, your feedback is immensely appreciated, it strengthens our commitment to contribute toward the improvement of the gastronomical quality and diversity a great city such as Laredo deserves.

One of my favorite chains that also exhibits quality service, delicious food and a nice relaxed yet lively dinning experience. This location falls right in line with the many others I love to frequent.

Cosmos Bar & Grill in Laredo, Texas stays on top of all the cutting edge trends while maintaining a traditional menu. Our style is creative, innovative and provides a fun atmosphere.
Not a good place for a vegan but my husband had the Ahi Tuna salad and said it was the best he had ever had. We were there on Mother's Day and they gave each mother which was very nice. One issue, there were 10 of us and 9 got their food and the last one took another 10 minutes. That should never happen. But, everyone enjoyed their meals and cocktails.

"The Best Little Steakhouse in South Texas since 1982!" The Tack Room is Laredo's original bar and grill! Located next to La Posada Hotel in downtown Laredo, The Tack Room offers fine dining in a historic and charming atmosphere. History of The Tack Room:
I love going there. Service is great, cocktails great, ambiance great, food great. You get out of work, go in and drink with friends while passing the time. Then ask for a botana and drink again. Later, go upstairs and your meal will have already been prepared and sit down to eat.

While in Laredo on business my wife and daughter wanted something all American instead of tacos... so a usual dinner and I will say the best waitress we've had this whole trip. I had the anything and everything salad with steak instead of chicken, wife had grilled shrimp skewer with grilled veggies and sweet potato., and daughter had kids rib plate. My salad was great as usual, wife's shrimp was dry and NO flavour at all bit everything else good. My daughter's was great.Good place and ok price. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed, John! However, we're sorry to hear that your experience wasn't the best. If you would like to follow up with your concerns, please give us a call at 1-844-6LOGANS. Thanks!

Border Foundry Specializes in Hand Cut Prime Beef and Fresh Seafood delivered daily. Everything is scratch made in house using the best ingredients available.
Great food, service and location. If you want to spend money while eating in a pleasant atmosphere, this is the place. I try to avoid eateries that attract families with small children because I want to relax and enjoy my company without screaming kids around, and I find that to accomplish this you have to find the more pricey places.Border Foundry seems to cater to the more mature crowd without being a stuffy restaurant.thank you for your kind words... hope to see you in soon..

Me and my family tried this restaurant for the first time, and were blown away! Such great food- ribs, Ribeye steak, BBQ chicken, loaded mashed potatoes, cold beer and more! Good prices and amazing ambiance! We highly, highly recommend it! Our waiter, Marco, was outstanding! Super attentive and our drinks came within a few minutes of ordering! Overall a wonderful experience and we will be going back!
