We had a great lunch at this gem. The food was absolutely delicious, particularly the coconut and lentil soup. The owner was also super helpful; giving us great advice for our travel plans. Highly recommended.

we went for diner with family to this "traditional looking outdoor restaurant, unfortunately it was raining and we were seated at indoors, we were not able to enjoy the traditional entertainment. they were playing live music, but certainly not fit for diner.( wish they select more joyful music and songs, we do understand Sinhala well). on the other hand, food selection is great, including drinks. my nephews and son was happy!highly recommend if you want traditional Sri Lankan cuisine

It's just an average restaurant virtually on the pavement of a busy road. The standard is rather low and not suitable for entertaining guests. Also, there is no parking. We were greeted and seated well because the restaurant is full of staff. However most of them are just taking up space, standing around or watching TV or chatting. No one is really in charge of your table and as such service is poor. They do have alcohol. The basics are there but the prices are close to five star prices. A local bottle of Beer is Rs. 550/- but service is like at a very cheap bar. Their licence allows them to serve alcohol only during certain hours but if you bring in your own bottles, corkage is charged at Rs. 1,000/- per bottle on spirits and 500/- on wine. That makes it an un-viable place for drinks. The menu is basically Japanese and Sri Lankan. The Maki rolls were a terribly armature attempt, therefore we decided to give the entire Japanese menu (which is one whole side of the menu board) a skip. The seafood platter at Rs. 3,000/- was mostly over fried, compared very poorly with similarly priced platters at five star hotels and wasn't enough to go round the table. As a main its about enough for one person and as a starter only for two.The food as well as the service lacks professionalism and is like at a wayside Kade - although the prices are much higher and the curries aren't as tasty as in the Kades. Meat curries that should be slow cooked and ready to serve, are prepared in 5 to 10 minutes and a single portion costs around 1,000/- (with the extra charges) and are watery, under-cooked and terrible. Lentils which have been cooked well in advance are served without even heating the singe portions for Rs. 350/- barely had two table spoons of the curry. Many of the desserts on the menu aren't available

The hotel is in a quiet residential area but still reasonably convenient. It is a boutique hotel but quite spacious. I had a suite upstairs - large, with nice asian furnishings, very comfortable bed, and a good bathroom. The lobby areas are very comfortable with plenty of seating. There is an outdoor dining area which is good for breakfast and a dining room which is quite classy.Food is superb - some of the best in Colombo and i have dined at a lot of restaurants here over the years. - both western and local.I look forward staying again in future.Dear Guest, Thank you for reviewing Paradise Road Tintagel Colombo. We are delighted to learn that you enjoyed your recent stay with us. We truly appreciate your feedback about staff, food and service as we strive to excel in our standards continuously. Two parts chaotic and one part rich history, the Flamingo House is an eclectically driven dining space.
We enjoyed the best lamb shank we have ever had. Roomy our waiter provided excellent service, both friendly and professional. In fact the food and our conversation with Roomy at the end was one of our best memories on our holiday. The interior design in the restaurant, courtyard, upstairs bar and terrace is impressive. We left with a box of hand made chocolates from the chocolate shop at the front of the restaurant. A beautiful evening. Really very impressed!

Considered a delicacy which is both expensive and hard to prepare, prawns are a commodity that gets less attention than it deserves. ISSO disrupts this by reintroducing prawns as an easily available fast-food in a price bracket that's affordable to a majo
Only had take-out from here and delivery but the food is always very good and fresh! The sweet potato fries are a MUST HAVE as if the Red Curry. I'm yet to venture further than that, but will do soon! Dear MariaSelvEd,Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed our food and love the concept. We will be sure to pass on your kind words to the team. We look forward to welcoming you back to Isso soon.Kindest regards, Isso Team

Poised on the edge of serene water ways and framed by luscious green pastures dovetailed with pools filled with exotic water lilies, âWaters Edgeâ elucidates a picturesque tranquility in the capital of Sri Lanka. Situated in a quaint location the hotel pr
Waters Edge should really change their TA listing as it's now 5 different restaurants.Ate at Boardwalk/Bavarian Garden, the upmarket pub-like setting in an Al Fresco area. Far worse experience than we had earlier at main restaurant. Firstly no one at the area entrance could give the proper directions. Secondly full of waiters but no one took any initiative for orders, and also follow-up bad; we had reserved by phone but no registration of that.Thirdly got 2 menus for 4 persons and only one of the two had the German supplement. Food finally not bad but overpriced for pub quality.

This is our second time here. This time we celebrated my father in-lawâs birthday here and he was totally surprised. I should specially thank Ms.Aheni, who did an awesome job from reservation to setting up the birthday decorations/songs. Most importantly we were given total control over the boat to set up the surprise birthday party and we got support from Mr.Janaka and crew, they were very friendly and helpful, it just felt like home. Believe it or not, we were even given a place to hide our car. Everybody loved the food (yummy!), service, and overall experience. We truly had an amazing time. Should you visit this place? Ask yourself WHY NOT? :-)
