Simply tasty
We were told to try the Resto Restaurant, but when we got there I was put off with being seated in a smoking area, and the place was virtually empty, which was a warning sign in itself. When I ordered the cheese and tomato submarine, this came with cooked peppers, and which later gave me cramps. The toilet was also dirty. I should have just left then, but we had walked a long way to get there.

La Mensa provide typical Sri Lankan food and beverages. Rice and curry kottu, roti etc. various types of tea including black, green, ginger, cinemon tea and fresh home ground black coffee. Have vegan and gluten free options too. apart from Sri Lankan food
Last night I ate chicken cheese kottu at this restaurant and I have been throwing up all over the floor and having everything come out the other exit in my bed all night long. I am completely miserable. I canât leave my room. I canât even leave my bathroom. I am 100% sure that I got food poisoning because of what I ate at this restaurant, because in the 8 hours before I did not eat anything! I have been to the doctor in Ella and it is confirmed that I have gastritis, infection or the stomach.i will never ever eat here again. My mother had a few bites from my food and also has stomach pains, but I myself am in a terrible state and now I canât even continue my travels. Please watch out.HiThank you for the comment . And we are really sorry about the condition . Normally if you are in empty stomach for few hours (according to you 8 hours) and eat food with starch and spices yes you get gastritis .yes it can be vomiting when you have gastritis . So that cant be bad food or food poisoning right?. When you have gastritis if you eat not only in our restaurant but also in any other restaurant if you eat something with wheatflour definitely you will get gastritis . We ,the management 100% assure that we do very hygienic food as well as the fresh food. So we are sure about the food we sell. Because we want to run this bisness for long term. To do that we know that quality is the most important thing. But still we are really sorry about your sickness and wish you a speedy recovery Thank you

Welcome to enjoy great foods and drinks in our Cafe.
Had a salad as a starter.. It was good but too little of what it promised.. Prawns and Avocado. Main was Couscous which was okay. The Kottu with seafood was nice. They added 10% service charge in the end

Cafe C is one of the most famous restaurants in Ella for Sri Lankan cuisines. You can enjoy famous Sri Lankan menus including Rice and curry at Cafe C Ella
I chose this cafe as it was quiet but people were having dinner here. Service by Prathap was really good. He was kind and explained the menu. Food was good quality and great price. (Less than 800LKR for curry and rice with a drink). Highly recommended

We Provide Cooking Classes Daily At 4:30pm
My sister and I had a great time learning how to cook four Sri Lankan curry dishes (bean, pumpkin, beetroot, and chicken). The class was informative and we found out so many new things about spices, coconuts, and curry! It was the best food weâve had in Sri Lanka and it was fun cooking it.

Forget chill cafe you must come here for authentic and cheap Sri Lankan food. I ordered curry and rice and out came about 9 bowls of food. Everything tastes amazing and there was enough food to feed an army and it was incredibly cheap. A must visit spot if you are in Ella. Rain interupted our Motorbiketour at the right moment beside Dude's Hut. We decided to step in an they warm welcomed us. After the delicious Curry and nice conversation with the owner we fell I love with this place. Everyone who gets tired of the Western-Style Srilankan food at the Tourist Restaurants in Ella should go there.
