Top 10 Sports Complexes in New Mexico, United States

February 18, 2022 Leida Jutras

With its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place all year long.

Founder Ranch

I'm an ABQ-area shooter and this is my favorite playground. One can shoot sporting clays, 5-stand, Cowboy Action Shooting, and Wild Bunch shooting most every weekend. The range is also used by USPSA clubs and by concealed carry classes. The End of Trail event each year near the end of June is the premier event for the range. However, winter months are quite cold and the range is less used.

Outpost Ice Arena

The Outpost Ice Arena is a multipurpose ice rink with daily public skates, youth hockey, stick and pucks, broomball, birthday parties and more!

Reviewed By C0urtenayO - Palm Harbor, United States

Niece loves this ice rink and she is thrilled to have it open for practice & coaching. It was closed for six months & she was miserable. She is thrilled to be out on the ice again. Other skaters looked happy and good on the ice, too. Temperatures are taken when you enter. Staff is friendly. The place is clean, with tables disinfected, & signs on each disinfected table saying so. Also, they have hand disinfectant on each table. The pro shop was closed, but looked nice. The bathrooms were also clean and I loved the mirror sign: “Objects in mirror are prettier than they appear in spite of what society makes you think!”
