The political, scientific, historical, architectural and business center of Russia, Moscow displays the country's contrasts at their most extreme. The ancient and modern are juxtaposed side by side in this city of 10 million. Catch a metro from one of the ornate stations to see Red Square, the Kremlin, the nine domes of St. Basil's Cathedral, Lenin's Mausoleum, the KGB Museum and other symbols of Moscow's great and terrible past, then lighten up and shop Boulevard Ring or people watch in Pushkin Square.

Come to see recently declassified facility of Cold War period. It was built at a depth of 42 meters just 1 year before missile crisis. It was in use by the ministry of Foreign Affairs until 2005 and inside, you will see an active 10 tonne door that would have protected the bunker against the shock wave of nuclear strike, as well as many hermetic doors that separate parts of the object.
The Soviet secret bunker 703. The tour was well organized, by "Bridge to Moscow" and by the local guide, balancing the time spent underground in the bunker itself. Not too short, not too long. Both the guides provided to us the information and told us about the history of the structure. It was impressive to see the deepness and the size of the bunker. As an engineer, I have specially appreciated the details on the air treatment unit and the visit to the technical area.
