Holland's most modern city began as a fishing village in the 13th century. It was developing into an industrial and trading power when German bombers destroyed the city center and harbor in 1940. However, Rotterdam's unique architecture now brings many visitors to bike around this urbane, cosmopolitan city. Old Dutch-style houses can still be found in historic Delfshaven, from where the pilgrims set sail in 1620. Cultural offerings from summer's carnival to classical music give Amsterdam competition.

The collection is impressive, the location is very sweet and I'm suprised it doesn't get more attention. The staff was amazingly friendly and we had a very nice time! Amazing little spot in Rotterdam.

Always wanted to see one of the most special houses from the inside? Now we even have something better for you! Visit our ART cube and enjoy the cube house in Van Gogh style. You can also see some of the best street photography by Dutch photographer Perry van der Hoek and streetart by Timon. Enjoy the Art Cube and see Rotterdam through the eyes of an artist!
These are a set of unusually shaped houses seen from Blaak metro station. Its apparently based on an idea that each house is like a tree and all houses together become a forest. The cube houses are all attached to each other and are tilted at 45 degrees. It has 3 floors and definitely watrants a visit. One of Rotterdam's best.

This museum reflects Rotterdam’s association with the sea. There is much to do for children and adults alike, with hands on activities. There are also some extremely old artefacts which are particularly inspiring and there is much to explore and reflect upon. Well worth the time to visit.

The Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam is the leading national museum of photography in the Netherlands. It has an impressive collection of 5.5 million photographic images and exhibits every facet of photography: documentary and experimental, contemporary and historical. In addition to exhibitions featuring major names in Dutch and international photography, the museum regularly presents work from its in-house collection. The collection comprises an important part of the Netherlands’ visual heritage.
Went to see the Salgado exhibition here. The space is good, large, open, giving lots of opportunity to exhibit, and space to move around. There is an upstairs exhibition space and a good bookshop with Dutch and international photographers represented. It also has a small cafe and coffee shop.

Very friendly staff. The children receive a sheet with questions to solve. At the end you can open a chest with the code. You can also perform a small mission where you must rescue a crashed pilot. You get an army uniform, compas and more. The building had 3 floors, but there's an elevator so it's also suitable for people with walking difficulties.
