Trade-Exhibition Complex OAO "Biculturality" is a unique place where you can see the new Museum of Geology and Mineralogy, indicative of a workshop for stone processing and trade fair hall. Our idea is to not only tell, but show about the stone-cutting business. Therefore, the Museum was opened on the premises.

Culture of phytotherapy, fangotherapy, aromatherapy, lithotherapy goes back thousands of years, but many aspects of it have been lost over the years of the scientific revolution. All this information is collected and carefully stored in the museum, and pleasantly surprises visitors with its unusual.

While staying in Irkutsk I decided to also visit this museum. Getting there and back is somewhat tricky and speaking Russian definitely helps: There are minibusses for the route between Irkutsk and Listvyanka that you can take to the museum. The stop for the museum is just off the highway and there isn't really anything other than the museum here, so you should for sure tell the driver this is where you are headed. Getting back I just stood at the bus stop and stopped the next bus that went past which worked out fine. The museum is really interesting and gives a good overview over the different ethnicities and cultures in the area. Additionally, the nature around the museum is really worth the trip itself... even (or especially) when it is bitter cold like during my visit!
