On October 7th, 2016 the International Numismatic Club opened a museum exposition hall at the Bolshoy Afanasyevsky lane in Moscow. The Museum is located in a renovated historic building of Yusupov-Zinoviev Chambers built in the XVII century. The International Numismatic Club Museum was established on the initiative of Vagit Alekperov, the President of PJSC "LUKOIL". The museum exposition consists of coins from the personal collection of Vagit Alekperov. Top of the art museum if you like Russian art. Cheap. Nice tour guides. Always 2-3 interesting exhibitions going. Use the metro, 8 minutes walk! Beautiful environment!

The Moscow State Museum “Bourganov’s House” was founded in January 2001. It is situated in the historical area of Moscow (metro-station Kropotkinskaya). Its founder Alexander Bourganov is a gifted contemporary artist, the Full Member of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts, Doctor of the History of Art. The museum collection presents the works of Alexander Bourganov, Maria Bourganova and Igor Bourganov.The main exposition is located out of doors in the open air. The works of A. Bourganov and his private collection have laid the foundation of the exposition. It begins directly in Big Afanasievsky lane, where some sculptural works of the artist are on display, occupies the museum’s territory and ends at green rest area of Sivtsev Vrazhek. The hall of “Small Louvre” has become the first indoor exhibition place of the museum. It is a relatevely small underground space, which is covered with a glass roof. On top of the roof one can see the sculptural composition named “Horses”. Exhibinions, concerts and other cultural events usually take place in the hall of “Small Louvre”.

Central Chess House named after Botvinnik (three-time world chess champion) is a non-profit educational and sport organisation widely known both in Russia and around the world. The organisation resides in the historical centre of Moscow and provides its facilities for educational, recreational, cultural and sport events around everything chess. Chess school for children is run here and one can easily bring a child here to start learning chess. Weekly chess competitions for adults are also held here on a regular basis. They are open for anyone, and any chess play skill level allowed. Some competitions require small (~$5) registration fee. Tournaments results are officially recognised by World Chess Federation (FIDE). English speaking staff and players are available. Come by to try yourself with chess, talk to Russian Grandsmasters and visit a cosy Chess Museum also located in here.
