South Africa’s most popular tourist destination offers the urban thrills of Cape Town, its adjacent wine country and an aura of the rich political history of South Africa. The Overberg's perfect whale-watching perches provide excitement of a different nature. The Garden Route's lakes and forests and the Klein Karoo's ostrich-farming towns and vineyards present another take on the Cape. For extra kicks, try bungee jumping or cage-diving among Great Whites.

Kagga Kamma is an absolute treat for travellers seeking a unique and inspiring experience. On your visit you will see a part of Africa that is unlike any other. The Cederberg Mountain’s otherworldly rock formations, a crisp sky stretching endlessly overhead and beautiful rock art from an ancient culture, is the backdrop to a wonderful adventure. Kagga Kamma’s accommodation options are as unique as the landscape it is set in. The Bushman Lodge offers spacious en-suite thatched rondavels/huts. The famous 'cave suites' built against the sandstone rock formations will take you back to a prehistoric time without taking away any modern-day luxuries. Kagga Kamma also offers a one of a kind Outcrop open-air “room” where guests can sleep under the stars in sheer luxury - definitely a not-to-be-missed experience.Speaking of the stars...Take a tour into the milky way when you visit our mini-observatory. It promises to be an inspirational experience when you view the Karoo night skies through our 10-inch telescope. While the sun is out you can opt for a journey back in time with our popular rock art tours. Our expert ranger will interpret the 6000 year old Bushmen paintings and living sites scattered all across the nature reserve.Other activities to be enjoyed at Kagga Kamma include relaxing nature drives with our knowledgeable guides, hiking trails, quad bike safaris, mountain bike trails, a 4x4 route and our Kagga Kamma Relax Spa. Even eating out at Kagga Kamma will be a matchless experience when you visit the restaurant for breakfast and lunch, and an outdoor lapa surrounded by beautiful rock formations for dinner under the starlit night skies in summer time. There is also a pub and lounge area with Wi-Fi internet, as well as satellite television for watching sports events. GPS co-ordinates:Latitude: S 32 44 45Longitude: E 19 33 46
We stayed in the self-catering chalets for 4 days. Very spacious with a large indoor fireplace. Each chalet is perfectly placed in the strange stone formations. It is really beautiful to be so close to nature. You can relax on your own veranda with a glass of wine and do star gazing. Lots of birds around and other small animals. Enjoy absolute quite and darkness at night. There is a restaurant, bar area, and lots of other entertainment. We did the 4km walking trail and found the bushman paintings! Amaizing!

Situated on one of the world's most beautiful mountain passes, Clouds Wine and Guest Estate is one of the jewels of Helshoogte. The relatively small, private estate is a working farm that produces its own wines. It also offers premium guest accommodation that blends designer luxury with all the modcons. A stylish destination surrounded by incredible views, a stay at Clouds is difficult to forget.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Well located, with stunning views of the mountains. Right next to the Delaire Graff Estate. Modern decoration. Our room, on the side, was very nice, and spacious, with underfloor heating. The hotel was empty. Just our room and one more. I did not like it because we had a feeling of a little bit of isolation. Very good breakfast. However, two points left to be desired: 1. The receptionists seemed a little inexperienced. Maybe because the hotel was empty, the main employees were off....I don´t know for sure ....They weren't very friendly. Any question I made the feeling I had is that I was bothering.... not usual in a luxury hotel. 2. Every night below our room it seems that a machine started to work. At first I thought it was some kind of maintenance that they were doing at the hotel at dawn, taking advantage of the fact that it was empty - which would be disrespectful to us who were there but then I think it was a boiler or something like that was activated in the middle of the night and It made a lot of noise in our room. As a light sleeper, I woke up every night. This is one point that would make me not recommend the hotel. However, overall the hotel is beautiful, in a prime location. We checked out at 4 am and they provided us with breakfast to take away, which was very nice of them.

Orange Grove Farm is a working wine and olive farm situated in the heart of Robertson's Valley of Wine and Roses. The farm is less than two hours from Cape Town and is the ideal place to relax and rejuvenate. Our luxurious self-catering cottages are named after the areas where the owner mined diamonds, and each has a unique story to tell. They combine comfort and beauty, offering a setting in which to linger and relax. Each cottage can be serviced daily by our friendly staff, leaving you only to concentrate on unwinding and enjoying the magnificence of your surroundings. Your private veranda and swimming pool provide a relaxing vantage-point to take in spectacular mountain views, the overwhelming sound of silence, and the truly prolific birdlife. At night the crystal-clear sky, and no artificial lights, will spectacularly display the breath-taking canopy of our southern stars. Our cottages are located far enough from each other to provide maximum privacy for our guests.
From the moment we arrived at reception our hosts treated us with country charm and friendliness. Our lodge were well equipped and welcoming, with views to die for. Sitting outside on the patio overlooking the vineyard, is just about as peaceful as you will ever feel in your life. We had braais (barbecue) on the patio, leisurely breakfasts around the dining table and long walks along farm roads and through the vineyards. This was an unforgettable getaway and we will definitely try to come again.

We spent 4 nights in the Africamps in Klein Karoo and it was a blast. We explored the area and visit the marble wagyu restaurant, the Swartberg pass, Kobus se Gat, Cango Wildlife ranch. We had ana amazing time when we got back to the tents. It had everything we needed. The fishing in the dam infront of the tents was exhilarating (a tip: use the corn kernels dipped in curry powder from the shop, nothing else seemed to work). We ended the stay off with a delicious potjie cooked by some friends that stayed with us. We really enjoyed our stay and already considering visiting the one in Wilderness

Fitted with period furniture the exquisitely refurbished Manor House at Weltevreden Estate offers guest accommodation at a world-class standard. There are four elevated bed chambers upstairs under a cosy thatched roof. Our beautiful renovated self-catering 2-bedroom farm cottage is the perfect place to unwind over a weekend or for long-term travel accommodation during your visit to the Winelands. The estate also boasts over a new, tastefully decorated and very spacious open plan cottage situated on the edge of the river.
Weltevreden estate is a small but beautifull Cape Wine farm full of bygone charm. The views are delightfull as you walk around thier Charming garden full of art and it is so peacefull to sit on the terrace with a book and enjoy the surroundings. The rooms are old school charm and set in the eves of the thatch. I did find mine a little dark, even though it was a glorious sunny day outside, with such a small window and I would have liked more space to get ready at the sink and dressing table and a decent size mirror but I really enjoyed my stay. A great restaurant on site (for lunch and breakfast only)with fabulous food and service and wifi worked well. Altogether I really enjoyed my stay.
