South Carolina has some great beaches along its eastern coast. Among the most notable of these is Myrtle Beach, the hub of the grand strand and the largest resort on the east coast of South Carolina. This silky stretch of white sand is great for water-sports such as sailing and surfing. South Carolina is also regarded as one of the top golfing destinations in America. South Carolina has some notable historic towns which are worth visiting such as Charleston.

This beautifully restored 1912 home will take you back in time to a simpler way of life. Welcoming entrance is filled with antiques and modern seating areas. Breakfast area has bold colors yet inviting setting for the best meal of the day. Two porches are ready for you to sip some Sweet Tea and relax. The English garden holds a few surprises and is worth a stroll. We can set up some yard games too. Restaurants, shopping and the Opera House are just a few blocks way and easily walked. Many local attraction, chain and locally owned restaurants are a short drive.
The delightful couple who own the inn have done a great job of restoration. The interiors are quite lovely and well furnished. Each guest room is decorated in its own theme. The Romance Room we stayed in has a very comfortable king bed, sitting area, and nicely selected furnishings. The flat screen tv is provided with ROKU and HULU and the ROKU services actually work. Have stayed at other lodgings that had ROKU available, but you needed your own account for Disney+, Netlix, ESPN, etc. Here they have it all! Breakfast was what you would make at home, nothing exotic, scrambled eggs, cheese grits, sausage, biscuits and cinnamon rolls. Cereal available, coffee is good, and you can eat your fill. Be sure to visit the Swan Lake Park while visiting Sumter.

Super clean room! Tabitha is really sweet at the front! She always greets me when I come in. The other ladies are also very kind! They have muffins, oatmeal, coffee and granola bars ready for you each morning. I’ve enjoyed my stay! Thank you!

Our trip was a last minute thing. After a family medical situation I came to help a friend. We had many requests and everything we needed we got! I highly recommend this place if you need a home away from home.

My husband and I stayed at Suburban for the weekend. Was a little disappointed because did not serve breakfast. Didn't have to be free, but couldn't even purchase. I had booked for 1 night at the friends and family rate, and we decided to stay another night. I thank Jay for extended my night at the rate that I had booked for the first night. He was very pleasant and nice. Also, would like to thank Aletta at front desk when I checked in on first night , and she too was very nice.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night while traveling south. My opinion of this place is that it is ok but certainly outdated. The room was clean , and beds were fairly comfortable. There is no coffee and not close to any store without using your car. The only thing I did not like was having to check in through a small window , not the small lobby. Probably will not stay here again but in a pinch this place is ok.

Me and my girlfriend want to check in. It was probably around 10 o’clock at night and we tried to go in the main entrance and we were rudely woke him by one of your employees that told us to go to the little window. I understand Covid and everything but she could have asked a lot more nicely. She had a very nasty attitude and even when my girlfriend complimented her on her nails she had responded with a very sarcastic thank you. The room was very mediocre I feel like housekeeping could have done a lot better job. The lady at checkout wasn’t any better. She never asked me how my stay was or if I had any issues. I’m definitely not going to stay here in the future I’ll just stay next-door at the super eight where I’m actually greeted with a smile and with southern hospitality.

Located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, The Yachtsman Resort has been a "home away from home" for several owners and visitors. The Yachtsman's great location, helpful staff, and fun activities have helped build many vacation memories and friendships for nearly 30 years. It's more than a resort, it's an icon - of family, fun, and fellowship
We checked in for a 2 night stay. Paid over $600.00 for a 2 bedroom oceanfront room. It was not worth what we paid. The layout was nice but the bedrooms smelled musty and old. The carpet felt damp. This was an end unit. Yes, we did have the sliding door cracked some but it was a perfect 74 degrees and no humidity. I understand these are rental units but the furniture definitely needs upgrading. It was filthy. The coffee table was warped. Unit 707 needs some love and attention. The beach was already packed. Difficult place to get out of if you are heading south unless you leave before noon. Hotel is oceanfront and at the end of the boardwalk. If you are a sun worshipper, would need to stay on the beach versus the pool in the afternoon. The balcony , what balcony? It is about 1 foot in width. For the money we Pais, I think I will stay somewhere else next time.

Our 3 bedroom unit at Wyndham Dye Villas was beautiful. It was exceptionally clean and inviting…and quite spacious. My wife and I spent the week and we were very comfortable in the king bed accommodations in the master bedroom. I was a bit surprised by the much smaller double bed, in bedroom #2. Bedroom #3 had 2 twin beds…perfect for a family with children. All of the employees that we met at WDV were super friendly. Our main disappointment was with “HOSPITALITY”, their sales team. We were basically annoyed by the daily phone calls badgering us to attend a sales session. Even after firmly denying any interest in attending a session, we still received numerous phone calls throughout our stay repeating the same rehearsed message. We were quite surprised and disappointed that our decision was ignored and not respected. If there was this much push just to get us to a session, I can’t imagine the pressure that must be exerted if one decides to attend. My advice would be to let them know that you definitely DO NOT want to be contacted during your stay if you’re not interested in their pitch.
