The moody, romantic Scottish Highlands start at Loch Lomond just north of Glasgow. Comprising a slew of mountain ranges, this sparsely populated land is best seen by train on the West Highland Line. Mountains, lochs, bright heather and rhododendrons give way to white sand beaches and rugged coves as the train nears Mallaig. For a more active take on the region, hike the West Highland Way or visit the Trossachs National Park. Ben Nevis, a popular climbing spot, looms over the town of Fort William.

Lovely views. Weather was lovely. Lovely gifts shops but can be expensive depending on what you buy and a lovely cuppa outside. Would highly recommend, wished we'd stayed longer and explored more of the scenery as its beautiful up that neck of the woods

Located just off the North Coast 500 route at Latheronwheel, The Blends is a friendly, family run B&B owned by Jo and Steve Atkins. Formerly a hotel it lay dormant for years before being purchased and tastefully refurbished to accentuate some of it's original features.
Incredible location, sea on one side and fields on the other - lovely quiet spot. Host could not have been more welcoming, really made us feel at home and served a great breakfast! Room was big, clean and comfortable, large windows and high ceilings. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we’re in the area, highly recommend.

The Whitehouse has newly opened as a Bikers B&B in the heart of the Highlands, offering a high standard of accommodation. All rooms are en-suite with showers. Dining room with open fire. Private parking. Situated in the middle of the small village of Conon Bridge, we are centrally located for touring the North of Scotland, being only a 2 hour drive to Skye, John'O Groats or Durness.
Brellin was an excellent host to our entire party of 6 middle-aged motorcyclist. The rooms are amazing, not only are they extremely comfy with plenty of room. They were impeccably clean too. Breakfast was fantastic catering for anything we wished on her menu including full Scottish. The black pudding was so good 4 of us asked for a full roll to take back home. There is a wonderful room at the back for guests to relax in and enjoy drinks & bring your own food beck from the takeaways Because my group filled more than her B&B Brellin found another B&B just minutes walk away for 2 more of us. This place is run by Rose and called View bank where again we were looked after brilliantly. Especially spoiled with cake every evening we got back. I would highly recommend both to anyone biker or otherwise to book here for an excellent location and venue Thanks Brellin and Rose.

Fantastic family and dog friendly place for coffee, evening meals and lovely pub nights. We were at the charity pub quiz on Tuesday, and it was a hoot. Lovely outside seating in the garden during the day (with lots of space for kids to keep themselves amused), and beautifully renovated inside. The guys there, and their team, have done such lovely job, and the customer service is excellent.

Luxury & eco-friendly accomodation in idyllic log cabins, nestled at the foot of Beinn a Bheithir and overlooking Loch Leven and the Pap of Glencoe. Enjoy superking size bedding, freestanding bathtub, relax with the sound of the stream, the singing of the birds... and enjoy an unforgettable stay in a truly enchanting place.
I booked a single night stay, mid-week in September, to welcome my friend visiting from overseas and do some walking in Glen Coe. On the drive up, my friend received a text from NHS Track and Trace notifying her that she had been exposed to COVID and instructing her to immediately go into quarantine. Worried and upset, we immediately contacted Aos Si to explain the situation and see if it would be possible to rebook for a future night. We were told that if we forwarded them the communication from NHS as proof, they could rebook us. We thought this was fair and forwarded the NHS messages, but have since been ghosted and ignored after multiple attempts at outreach. I can only assume that they do not intend to honor their word. I know this pandemic has been hard on the hospitality industry and I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but it was incredibly disappointing to be treated this way when we had no choice but to follow the government mandate. Clearly the bottom line is the most important thing to management here. I do not recommend supporting this business.

Our gym is open 24/7 and all our apartments have free WiFi. We have the largest range of properties at Fort Augustus Abbey with 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and cottages. Our property managers are on-site and readily available to help during your stay. The village of Fort Augustus is a few moments walk away with many places to eat and drink, or you can enjoy a cruise of Loch Ness. Book your Highland holiday with us.
I booked two short breaks at this place one week after the other as we were going to meet family in between the dates in Inverness. I got a very rude message left on my answer machine saying that I was stopping other people getting booked and I had to pick one date that suited us, she basically said I wasn’t allowed to book both dates as she thought I was lying about my plans? Also it said no payment at booking time but they tried to take the full price the day after booking? I would not recommend after all the hassle.

The Birches is a family run bed and breakfast which has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. We are situated in Dundonnell which is on the north west coast area of the highlands on the NC500 route. We are nestled among beautiful scenery at the foot of the rugged An Teallach mountain range on the shore of Little Loch Broom.
I would highly recommend staying here. Incredible views and fantastic hosts that were so helpful and kind. I had planned on staying in Ullapool, but glad I made the extra journey to stay somewhere so unique. If I’m back in Scotland I will return here!

Just stayed at Aurora for 1 night. Wished we had booked longer. Really nice place with wonderful hospitality. When we arrived we were greeted very warmly and offered a ( v welcome) cup of tea and cake. The rooms were really comfortable with everything we needed. Good sized comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms with good showers, kettle with tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was excellent with home made bread and delicious eggs. We had use of our own sitting room which was lovely. Would highly recommend
