We have just returned from a weej's stay in Villa Vani. This is a very relaxing place to stay with an amazing view of the whole of Marina di Ragusa and more. The heated swimming pool is perfect to relax when the sun is shining. The breakfast is a very basic Italian one however the coffee machine provides very tasty coffee. The facilities in the kitchenette/dining area provides a hob and microwave should you wish to cook food from the local supermarkets/butchers. A car is necessary for travel and we enjoyed travelling around the south east of Sicily. Villa di Vani is an ideal location for travel. We experienced 3 days of thunderstorms & heavy rain which blocked some of the roads. We still travelled and experienced the great culture of family/locals Sicilian life. The views of the storm from Villa Vani were also amazing. The decrease in the value of the pound means the cost if eating out around Marina di Ragusa is very similar to Greater London. The food however continues to be very tasty. We were greated at the guest house by Pepe, one of the son in laws from the family run business. Pepe was very welcoming and suggested we went for lunch at the nearby family run, organic restaurant, La Masseria. The food and ambience is amazing and I have written a separate review for this amazing place.

Beautiful little B&B in the heart of Ragusa Ibla. Basically brand new and each room has private bathroom. Owner gave us a parking permit and was kind enough to provide lovely biscuits on arrival along with hints for our stay and tips on great restaurants to eat at. 1 minute walk to the duomo and a 15 mins to the Ragusa. Excellent. Spotlessly clean.

Niria is located in the historic centre of Ragusa,in a building from early 20th century. Easy to reach, Niria is the ideal place to easily visit the charming Ragusa Ibla, pearl of Baroque. The property has several rooms on different storeys, each room has its own private bathroom, soft bath towels for each person, soap bars, shampoo/shower gel, hair-drier, indipendent air-conditioner and TV 32".
I paid $40 for a quite nice room in the center of town after that cam the the disappointment the property does not serve breakfast despite claiming they area a B&B, they give you a voucher for a coffee and croissant (EUR 3 maximum value) at a cafe across town, nowhere on this voucher does it list the name or address of the cafe and of course nobody actually staffs the premises of B&B then despite them claiming free wi-fi, that service is "farmed out" too from a provider that demands your email and mobile phone number after you enter some 15 digit code then you must log in each time you use wi-fi again with a different 16 digit code and some odd password

Beautifully converted 1860s farmhouse with balinese-style pool and magnificent vistas hugging the Sicilian coastline, Mangiabove is a young eco-oriented Guest House (Boutique Hotel). Located in Marina di Ragusa, the far south-east end of Sicily, Mangiabove is set in an amid idyllic landscape, dotted with tropical plants surrounding a palm-fringed infinity pool that appears to be perched on a terrace overlooking the deep blue waters of the Mediterranean sea. Managed by a young owner, Iggy, whom after years abroad came back to the splendid island of Sicily. Mangiabove is ran by a young and creative team, emblematic of Sicily’s new wave - cosmopolitan and internationally oriented, and yet proud and passionate about local traditions, food and no-fuss hospitality. Having eight bedrooms in a restored farmhouse and a chemotherapeutic pool, it’s being immersed in the surrounding landscape of pasture fields and typical dry walls, sloping down towards the sea that sets Mangiabove.
We have just returned after our third amazing visit to Mangiabove. Our earlier two reviews pretty much say it all - Mangiabove is the most stunningly beautiful place to spend time relaxing in Sicily and Iggy and Lara and their amazing staff who are absolutely excellent. Mangiabove is positioned above Marina di Ragusa with the most beautiful wide views over the Mediterranean. We have never seen such intense turquoise and at times purple sea. The old farm buildings have been restored and converted beautifully and all in an environmentally excellent way. It truly is the most relaxing and stunning place to spend time. It is a walk of around 20 mins to Marina di Ragusa where there is a beautiful long sandy beach and many great restaurants, bars and shops. The main piazza is a buzzing place especially at the weekend. There is also such a lovely walk along the beachfront to the Marina again with bars and restaurants. There are lovely villages and beaches nearby and the interesting towns such as Ragusa Ibla, Scicli, Modica and Noto are all within travelling distance. Mangiabove is really so special but the most special thing about it is the owners and staff. Iggy and Lara are so very welcoming and kind. They invest so much of themselves in Mangiabove - it is their life and they pour everything into it and this, and their kindness and fun, make it a very special place. They are also blessed with the most fantastic staff - thanks to them all - the wonderful and so helpful Marco who is a huge addition to the management since Covid and also to Ismail for maintaining such beautiful gardens and Luana for looking after the rooms so well. When we arrive at Mangiabove we immediately feel relaxed and at home and it is such a joy to come back to see Iggy, Lara and now Sami when we feel we are meeting up again with old friends. We are already thinking about our fourth visit.

"A casa di Franco"... a casa di amici!!!! Struttura pulita con gestori disponibili e simpatici. È stato come se ci si conoscesse da sempre. Non è inclusa la colazione, ma il caffè non manca e neppure i cornetti offerti dai gestori /proprietari. Siamo stati anche consigliati sui locali dove andare a cenare e anche in questo caso ci siamo trovati molto bene. Consigliatissimo!!!!

In the breathtaking pittoresque city of Ragusa is a little oasis of a hotel located. Delicatly and tastefully designed throughout, in the middle of a small street with restaurants (mostly local Sicilian cousine, but also vegetarian and sushi/japanese), 2-3 bars and all kind of shops in the immediate surrounding. The kettle for tea/coffee and the free minibar in the room was highly appreciated. There were also a kitchen/eatingroom where it’s possible to make, store and eat self-prepared food and an espresso machine and a selection of teas. Cosy, neat and clean. The bathroom has thick and luxurious towels, toiletteries, power in the shower and of course all fresh, new and well-designed. The beds are good to sleep in and the room is practically soundproof. The host was helpful, polite and nice and we felt very welcome. We will be back!

A'naca, the cradle in Sicilian, is an old renovated house on two floors. There is a yard all around, the jasmine and the bougainvillea climb up the walls. The whole ground floor is for our guests, there is a private entrance, a small room with a view of Ibla where you can lie down on a cosy sofa bed, close your eyes and enjoy the fragrances coming from the window; there is a fully equipped kitchen, where you can have a relaxed breakfast wearing your pyjamas, or you can end your day with spaghetti al pomodoro with the aromatic herbs that grow in the yard; a private bathroom where you can wash away the salt and the sun after spending a day on the beach at Marina di Ragusa; last but not least, a spacious room with a double bed and two single beds, two armchairs for those who want to relax while making plans for the following day or watching a movie on TV. Stargazers can sleep in the hammock out in the courtyard and hear the owls calling each each other. Book a room! Live a house!
We were happy to find an accommodation free for the weekend of Santa Maria & were pleasantly surprised with the area. The location is absolutely beautiful, parking is a bit difficult but definitely worth it. Breakfast was super tasty and was prepared before we woke up. The place is clean & comfy, the yard is great to just chill and read. The tenants are kind, super helpful & accommodating.

the B&B we had booked had accidentally double booked us, so they called the signora who ran over after work to prepare this place for us to stay (not just the rooms but breakfast foods as well) The unit looked fairly new and was a nice size and well decorated; there is a breakfast room with all of the usual suspects - beverages, rolls, etc. Very nice B&B
