The accommodation is really nice?? Conveniently located in the center of the city, you can reach the main attractions very fast. Also if you come by car, they recommend a parking place just 6 min walking from the accommodation. Just so you know, at the parking place, you will leave the car keys with the owner. (which is apparently a common practice. We didn’t have any problems).

Let's start with the positives: Staff are really nice and kind. Breakfast is good, and rooms are clean. There is also ample free parking. On the other hand, as every one is pointing out, the hotel needs to modernize. The rooms and decor take you back to the 1980s.

Sleep in the heart of Padova and learn the secrets of the Amarone Wine! Located in a Medieval Tower of the 1300, old entrance gate of the Castle of Padova (la "Specola"), Massimago Wine Tower is in the very heart of the city and offer suites with frescos, antique furniture and wood-beamed ceilings. The owners also run one of the most famous winery of Amarone and for this reason in every corner reminders to wine culture and, upon request, it would be possible to take part to tastings of Valpolicella wines receiving from the experts all the secrets of Amarone and Ripasso. In the surroundings you will find coffees and restaurants, where you will be able to taste local specialities. The ancient building of the University, the Scrovegni Chapel and the Saint Antony's Cathedral are all at walking distance, leaving the car in the parking of Massimago Wine Tower.
We booked a 4 night stay here as part of our honeymoon, and it was honestly one of the loveliest places we've ever stayed! I mean, how often do you get to stay in a 13th century tower?! We were staying in the top two rooms of the tower, which obviously involved several staircases, which were quite exhausting to climb even without suitcases! To us it was all part of the charm, though could cause problems for those with mobility issues! The rooms were beautifully decorated with painted ceilings and wall frescoes, including one in the shower! The views from the top of the tower overlooked the whole of Padua. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the bed very comfortable. Bottles of wine from the Massimago vineyards were available to buy, and the sparkling rosé was particularly delicious! It was only a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of Padua, which was really handy. We felt very comfortable staying in the wine tower, and frankly would be happy to live there - we loved it!

Secondo me tutto buonissimo!

Parcheggio all'interno del cancello. Posizione molto silenziosa, consigliamo solo di cambiare i materassi. Se passate da Mestrino, fermatevi qui!
