Popularly referred to as Ooty, this gem among southern hill resorts is covered in eucalyptus and pine trees and coffee and tea plantations. On a clear day, it's possible to see as far as the Mysore plateau from Dodabetta Peak, the district's most prominent viewpoint. The Stone House, a landmark 1822 bungalow, and St. Stephen's Church are remnants of the area's first British settlement. Also noteworthy: formal botanical gardens, a children's mini-garden and a contemporary art collection.

A cosy boutique hotel located conveniently in the heart of Ooty.
Terrible stay. Check out from the place was nightmare. Owner was only available on phone and quite argumentative in her stance. We payed as per website. They demanded extra charge for no good reason giving an explanation that its a season time. Hour delay in getting breakfast. No room service available in this place. Late checkout is not possible. They charge even for that.

If you are in ooty and looking for a beautiful view from your room look no further than sunset valley holiday inn. The view from the room is spectacular matched with great hospitality by the owner himself

My Family went there .They reached in the night and it was raining .They asked mr.Amit(caretaker) for any food ,if they can arrange .He clearly denied .After we complained to MMT ,he came to us and offered a boiled cereal and charged 250 rs for pathetic dish . everyday we had a poor service in this hotel . Would never recommend this hotel to anyone

My partner and I booked it for the first night of our arrival and we haven't booked elsewhere... Its our 4th night here and it's super cozy and convenient to all amneties... The bakery in front, breakfast across the road, corner shop next to the hotel, bus stop walking distance, tea stall man few walks down and markets to food close by... Its clean, there is hot water, the bed is comfortable, there is a tv and the rooms are colour coded... It is small but it's cozy small... I recommend to all. Oh and the staff are friendly, funny and interactive.

I visited this place with a friend of mine last October in 2017. The architecture of the building won't attract you much but it's the service and the behavior of the staff. They have made everything very simple and accessible. You can have food in your room or in the dining area. I don't remember the person's name (I'm extremely sorry), but this gentleman helped us with everything starting from basic necessities to bike rentals and shopping suggestions. I've been to Ooty several times but surely, this hotel would stay on top of the list. It's very close to the Tamilnadu State Bus Station. Make sure you get the room on the top floor. Parking is a bit cramped but it's the same in almost every part of Ooty where you get a hotel on budget. Please call the staff on arrival so that they can arrange pick-up for you in case of any inconvenience.

Welcome to Secret Valley Jungle Resort. Come experience the hum of cicadas, the murmur of a river, morning whistle of the birds and a great big adventure. Secret Valley is the place for you to forget your daily routines, pressures and relax and rejuvenate your soul. You’ll enjoy exclusive access to over 380 Acres of private hiking and River Trails. What better way to enjoy the rainforest than to immerse yourself in a secluded waterfall. Secret Valley is one of the few resorts in the Nilgiris region to have a river running right in front of the rooms or private waterfalls within its premises. There is no Tv or Telephone in the rooms, this aids in experiencing the aura of the real jungle. With more than 200 varieties of birds which start their symphony in the mornings and evenings, its a bird watchers paradise. Indian Gaur, Sambar Deer, and Elephants roam around the property as it is at the edge of the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. Relax, Rejuvenate and Discover Yourself.
Pleasant stay and very good hospitality.. you can lose yourselves to nature in this resort... A cool water stream gets you refreshed. The ride from top of the estate to the cottage is bumpy, which I think will be resolved shortly.

The location is not proper in gmaps . It was difficult to find out the location. The rooms and linen are good. Having plumbing issues in terms of health facit or hot and cold water mix . Wash room was stinking. No food or restaurant . One day breakfast buffet was kept which was ok . People working are very nice and helpful but lack in experience .
