Kings Park Hotel is full of character and charm, having emerged following extensive renovation from the historic market town’s former police station, dating back to the late 19th Century. Keeping many of the original features, this venue is uniquely stunning. It is located opposite Retford’s beautiful, scenic and award-winning Kings Park, central to local amenities. The hotel is the ideal base to visit and explore Nottinghamshire with Clumber Park and Sherwood Forest just a short drive away. Robin Hood Doncaster/Sheffield airport and Gamston airport are both close by, as is the A1 and M1. The 12 stylish rooms at Kings Park Hotel are all en-suite, with free wi-fi, a flat-screen satellite television and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel has a fully licensed restaurant and bar, The Old Police Station, which offers delicious meals throughout the day as well as well as a full English or continental breakfast.
Nice hotel. Clean rooms - good facilities and a lovely breakfast. Good location near a lovely park and supermarket if you need any bits. Parking around the hotel is free overnight. So all good except for communication. They don’t answer the phone nor respond to emails. I sent a message asking about breakfast times - received a response 6 days after my stay. I emailed five days ago asking for an invoice - nothing yet. I emailed to say I would be arriving late - no indication that anybody had read it as I received a voicemail asking why I hadn’t turned up? Disappointing.

Great place , you feel like home , everything is very clean , you have comfortable beds , heat in the room , Netflix , youtube and Sky Tv , free internet. Quiet place , very safe because of the code that allows you to entry the building and the rooms.

Apalling guest service. For my 3rd visit (following 2 enjoyable stays) I was allocated room 0. Rooms 0 to 5 are directly above the Idle Tap pub. Music was very loud and intrusive rendering it impossible to sleep. Despite several calls and despite reassurances that the music would be turned down it continued until 00h18. Totally unacceptable and still no apology or compensation and no reply despite calls, many e-mails and several tracked letters. Not a single acknowledgement nor the courtesy of a reply. Shocking, disgusting, apalling, disrespectful and total disregard for guest service and guest satisfaction. I will no longer recommend this property nor give them my custom ever again.

The Grade II listed former Station Master's House, with its distinctive gables is one of the most recognisable houses in Southwell Sitting on the Southwell trail the house has been tastefully and sympathetically renovated and decorated with modern touches for the 21st century. We offer good sized rooms with king size beds with en-suite or private bathroom with breakfast included.
We enjoyed our two night stay at this delightful house. Everywhere was beautifully appointed and spotless. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. Our hosts were a charming couple and very welcoming and we followed their advice as to where to eat in Southwell and were not disappointed. The town itself is very attractive and Southwell Minster and the Southwell Workhouse were very interesting places to visit. There are also other places of interest in Southwell and it is within easy driving distance of other places such as Newark, with its Civil War Museum.

Just finishing a lovely family break in one of the bbq huts. The site is spotless, so clean. Very quiet too. Lots of space. Close to the main road but noise not a problem. Lovely views. Brilliant communication too with Tanya leading up to our visit, they were totally COVID prepared. Thank you!

Gorgeous!! First time glamping, and undoubtedly started at the top. Getting ready to book a return visit already. Absolutely amazing facilities, close to town, great views, safe and secure. A luxury relaxing weekend, made even better with underfloor heating ??
