Wide beaches along the "Flower Coast" attract families and those commemorating the D-Day landings of 1944. Inland, cattle graze in rural idylls and pre-WWII buildings stand alongside modern architecture. Rent a car or take tours from Caen or Bayeux. The landscape around his home in Giverny inspired Monet's Water Lilies, and summer's profusion of blooms is quite lovely. Don't miss Rouen's old town and cathedral, Caen's cathedral, Bayeaux's tapestry and the ancient island-abbey of Mont-St-Michel.

The B&B is managed lovingly by the owner. She takes pride in the place and make sure to have modern comfort while keeping the original style. The hostess was simply the nicest and her art work decorates the place. It was a bliss to simply sit in the beautiful old yard and a relaxing and tasty homemade dinner. While not in the center of the village, the place is locate within walking distance from the gardens and art museum and the path there is beautiful.

Me and my partner had a lovely stay at this beautiful chateau and were very well looked after by our friendly host. Quiet and peaceful location in the countryside, coupled with a hot tub and prosecco made for a very relaxing getaway. The breakfast was superb with one of the best french toasts we have ever had! Great value with very high standards throughout, highly recommended.

Everywhere you look in Maison Maleyrand you’ll see something beautiful and intriguing - it is the wonderful home of Mohamed and Francoise and they have restored it to a state of perfection. The colours of our rooms, the fittings, the furniture, the curtains - everything is an inspiration! And then they have filled all their display cabinets with delicate curiosities that it has taken them a lifetime of visiting ‘vide grenier’ sales to acquire. As hosts, they give a happy welcome to every moment that you’re in their house - they’re glad you’re there and do everything they can to enhance your stay. Curtesy of their innate generosity, breakfast is a bountiful and chatty delight. And then there’s that lovely garden… I can’t praise Mohamed and Francoise enough for just being who they are - and making available their gorgeous house to guests.

This place is amazing Without doubt the cleanest place I have ever stayed The owners Christian and Mia are delightful and very professional The rooms are large, sunny and very well appointed, well decorated, oh and super clean Breakfast was a feast of home made stuff including jams, yogurt and fruits. There was also local hams and cheeses. As continental breakfasts go probably the best The property is a 5 minute walk out of the centre of Honfluer which is a very pretty old fishing port stuffed full of great restaurants I booked it on line through booking.com and was required to pay 50% deposit by bank transfer as they don't take credit cards which I was highly suspicious of, unfairly as it turns out as there was no issue Definitely will return and can not recommend it highly enough.

I highly recommend this place! The old house is beautiful, the owners are very welcoming and serve a very tasty (homemade) breakfast (try the marmelade!). I love the animals in the garden. The location is perfect for visiting Mont St Michel, St Malo and Cancale.

Un énorme merci à Samuel et Irène, très accueillants et disponibles. Propreté au rendez-vous, piscine chauffée, nous nous sommes régalés avec le petit-déjeuner, très copieux. Je recommande cet établissement.

Unique lodging because it is an apartment/hotel by the sea. Each “apartment” is artistically styled. The rooms are super clean and have their own fully supplied kitchenettes, private bathrooms, and creative “sleeping accommodations”which include Custom Murphy beds, loft, and the most comfortable sofa which turns into a great sleeping bed. The bedding is super luxurious - soft and smells great! There is an intimate spa area as well as an enclosed backyard patio for guests to enjoy. The Townhouse is in a quiet area yet walking distance to the sea, restaurants, casino and other diversions. You can rent a room or rooms for a short or lengthy stay. Hope to come back for another stay real soon. Alma (New York City)
