Sprawling tea plantations surround the serene hills of Munnar, which attract adventure travelers hungry for paragliding, treks to Anaimudi (South India's highest peak) and hikes originating at the confluence of three mountain streams. The stone Christ Church, built by the British in 1910, is adorned with renowned works of stained glass, and Eravikulam National Park, about 10 miles away, is home to equally colorful wildlife, including the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (ibex), ruddy mongoose and 120 bird species.

First of all its more of a large hotel than a resort. It occupies a small area Not much of activities to be done in the resort. Cleanliness was the main issue. Rooms were smelly, floors were damp. Rooms were not properly cleaned.the waste bin had all the previous wastes in it. Doors, glass partitions and curtains in bathroom were not properly cleaned and had stains, no bucket or cup in the bathroom.outside the room had paper and plastic waste lying around. Tvs don't work properly. Swimming pool was very unclean. Water looks very turbid cant see the floor from the second step onwards.filtering is not at all proper. People spit in the pool and it was still lying in the water..so we did not use the pool at all.. Good things: Staff in reception and restaurant were well behaved and help ful... Cleanliness need huge improvement...strict rules regarding proper usage and mainatinance of pool should be made as this is the only activity to be done here Overall not worth the money... Acceptable as a lodge max 2000rs per night

The world’s most breathtaking resorts are located far higher from sea-level. Snuggled among lush green Western Ghats and located at 1620m above MSL, Forest County Munnar offer you an off-road experience, overlooking the scenic artistic valley with spectacular 360 panoramic view.
Forest county is an exeptional place, this is an oasis of fun for nature lovers, located 6000 feet from sea level, you will have to take a jeep on top of a mountain where you are cut of from civilisation and enter a world of jungle fun, fog and everything that you have been missing in your life. Highly recommend.

Cicily cottage is located in Munnar (new town), 5 minutes walking from the center (bus stop, tuk tuk stop, bazaar). They can help to find a scooter for rent but they should let the customers have hot water also in the evening, not only in the morning because, after a day in the hills, the customer need to have a hot shower. So, let's improove the service?

Avoid staying in that resort if "KURIAN" is the manager there. He is extremely rude. Reasons for our bad review: - on our way to resort, we called manager to guide us the route. He started blaming us as to why we took that route and didn't clearly guide us to the hotel. We had to struggle hard to find the resort through the dense jungle (in the night) to find the resort using Google maps - upon our arrival, greetings was a far fetched thing from him. Instead argument started that driving license is not a valid if card instead aadhar card should be presented - there were street dogs in the premises, instead of warding them off he was calling our dog aggressive - in the room, there was a leaking water tap, no television reception (even when the sky was clear) - jio internet was provided by staff as resort jio device was untraceable - AT 6:49pm, when we were out in town, we were being forced to place an order for dinner like how many chapatis we will eat and what dish we want to have. It was too difficult to order as we didn't have the menu nor the manager was telling the dish. And also it was too early for us to tell that if we will have dinner at that time.we could have treated ourselves outside instead of having a dinner at resort. As we had ordered the food, when manager called at 6:49pm, we were forced to reach resort without having dinner outside and wit for them to serve us - we wanted to have paneer dish in vegetarian. We had to purchase the dish by ourself from the market where no one understands Hindi. On top of it, place where we found paneer was just 2.8kms from resort but it was our responsibility to get as we wanted to have the dish. The dish (matar paneer) which was served had only 8 small cubes of paneer - we asked for stool to sit around the bonfire instead we were provided with plastic chair. After the bonfire, we kept the chair aside so that wind doesn't force the chair on the fire. But bcoz of heavy winds the chair flew and fell on the still lighted fire when we were not around. In midnight, when we saw the chair burning from our room window, we came and kept it aside. But by that time little damage was done to the chair. We were forced to pay for the chair even when it was not our fault - when we were checking out, manager asked his staff to go and check the rooms to confirm if we have stolen or damaged something. He asked it right in front of us as if we were thieves - no machine generated invoice was provided. A hand written bill was given to us stating that their system is down HORRIBLE STAY AND MANAGER IS PATHETIC.
