The hotelier Natalie is a fabulous host. Her interior design skills, and a beautiful house, make this a stunning place to stay. We were offered a drink in the beautiful garden on arrival - the garden has 150 year old American Oak trees, and when we were there the 70 year old camelia was out. We stayed in the apartment within the main house. The beds were very comfortable with new mattresses and beautiful linen. Breakfast was lovely too. Well recommended and Natalie speaks excellent English if you don't speak French !!

My father and I spent a night in the "Grand Orse" (big dipper) room which has a twin bed and a full bed. The room is housed in the wood paneled addition closest to the road and the Mont across the fields. You are given two keys, the first of which opens the door to the lower level common area. It has a kitchen and large windows with amazing views of Mont-Saint-Michel. At the top of some stairs are three doors leading to Grand Orse, Petit Orse and one other room. We had a bit of trouble figuring out the common room "French Door" but our gracious host Stephane showed us that you have to twist the key in conjunction with turning the lower handle. The window in our bedroom looked onto the parking lot but you could open it and lean out for a nice view of Mont-St-Michel. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the area with the shuttles/restaurants/hotels. It was a fine walk but along a road with essentially no shoulder. The breakfast in the morning was basic but good. My father longed for some hot items but cold dishes seemed to predominate throughout our travels. There were no soaps/shampoo/etc in the shower but it was still an amazing value for the price we paid.

We stayed in le Val Daniniere for 2 nights in August 2021 and it exceeded all our expectations. The premises is spacious, quiet and beautiful. Rooms are spotlessly clean. Valéry and Jacky are perfect hosts that will do anything to make you feel at home. Breakfast is abundant, fresh and extremely tasteful. (All fresh local products) We had the pleasure to book a “table d’hote” (Dinner at the guesthouse) on arrival. That was the best decision ever as Valéry appeared to be a very skilled cook. We had the feeling to be with old friends, we never met before. We hope to come back and cannot recommend this guesthouse high enough!

Having struggled to find parking near this hotel, first impressions from outside were not encouraging. The welcome from Audree was warm and the room was excellent with the most comfortable bed that we have found on our travels. Breakfast was lovely but mot if you are unable to eat gluten. The big downside was that the bathroom was noted suite... you had to pass through a communal area and my wife found this disconcerting. The hotel is well placed but not suitable if you are uncomfortable with steps.

Our house is a farmhouse that dates back to 1758, which was extended with outbuildings in the years following. We have renovated the house in the style of the 1920 to 1940s era, which is our own taste in design, furnishing and fashion. Our aim is for our guests to step back in time, in a welcoming and cosy environment, and feel at home.
A wonderful B&B with loads of charm - its like stepping back into time. The owners have restored an old Norman farmhouse into a 1940's Art Deco masterpiece, every little detail is taken into account. And as this is Normandy they have lots of WW2 mementos dedicated to the American Infantry Division (29th) that fought their way from Omaha beach to St. Lo. They have even helped setup a memorial to the men who lost their lives trying to take the bridge at their farm. The memorial is on the other side of the bridge from the house. The farm is nestled in the Normandy countryside and the little River Elle runs along the edge of the farm. Its a great place to take walks and it is well situated to see all of the different D-Day landing beaches as it is about mid way between where the Americans landed to the west (Utah & Omaha) and where the British and Canadians landed to the east - (Gold, Juno and Sword). I was traveling with my dog so I took the camping option in their pasture (see pictures below). But I had breakfast in the house and they showed me around the rooms - which are just incredibly decorated with 29th Division mementos and art deco items. I cant say enough on how hospitable and friendly the owners are - just great. 5 stars for sure - thanks !
