Quiet and very relaxing place. Everyone is approachable and they have suggestions where and what to do in Alaminos. They offer a service to go to the the island. It was a great stay. I will recommend this place to my friends.

This hotel is your typical basic hotel, unfortunately its location is very out of the way for us. It is located in some kind of residential/subdivision area, very small signage to indicate where it is. Unless you have your own car, there seems to be no form of public transportation to get you to the city, if you need to have lunch or dinner. Contacted the hotel staff for a reservation via their phone number, but when we saw the condition/location of the place, we decided not to stay. The room for 3 adults is very tiny as well. The staff then insisted that we pay 1/2 of the price of room (even if we didn't stay!) despite not booking on any hotel booking apps. The staff said that they could have had more guests, but they reserved it for us (though the hotel seemed empty, based on the car parking area). We decided to pay it JUST TO NOT STAY THERE. If that is any indication of what that hotel service is like, I don't know what is! I don't usually write hotel reviews, but I had such a stressful time dealing with them that I just had to warn anyone who is thinking about staying here.

A quaint hotel - aged but the owners have maintained it well. Very clean linens and rooms! We stayed overnight with our social group and asked them to prepare home cooked food of the local delicacies - we were not disappointed! Try their grilled milkfish and steamed crabs! The beach is just across the street. Its gray sand but fine and clean. There’s a lifeguard around as well but open 5am-6pm.

Amidst the lush greenery there is of Tanay/Quezon area rose a family-owned resort that exudes that feeling of being one with nature. The warm welcome greeting by the resort owners as well as the staff gives that very homey feel. The parking entrance provides adequate space that also allows you to enjoy the beauty of their bonsai garden. The restaurant, with superb food choices, opens up to a wide veranda that allows you to view the vast natural beauty of the mountains with fog. The cabins tucked away from the cafe area, provides that much needed privacy away from the hustle and bustle of city life --- where you can commune with nature as you close your eyes and savor the scent of fresh air. There is no TV nor air-conditioning but who would need one when you have this vast gift of nature right before your eyes to savor? The foggy late afternoons and early mornings reminds you it's that time for a cup of coffee/tea or even hot choco. The resort offers 3 pools within the vicinity (heated) but to just sit back, detach, and relax is simply priceless. Best for nature lovers or individuals who crave for that much needed space away from city life. Every moment...every breath of fresh air...every step... all worth the travel. And what makes it so special? It's the personal touch...the warm care from everyone --- from the staff to the owners. Better bring that jacket or sweater with you. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Slept well in this accomodation with very friendly prices. Bed was comfortable. Shower area fixtures needed to be fixed, though. Tile grout should be soaked in chlorine too. You can order coffee and light snacks for room service. Good location - near St Joseph Church, the market, fast food chains and has a grocery on the first floor. Value for money.

Guimod House is about 2 miles away from bustling Vigan City in a quiet and very safe area (fenced in and they close the gate when everyone is “home”. ) Look out for the sign along the highway as you have to turn in and follow a short private drive to the property. It is very clean and well maintained, has everything you might need for a comfortable stay from WiFi to warm showers (though we truly did not need it, Vigan was hot...for us anyway). Great place to wind down and relax after a full day of activities at Vigan. No close by restaurants but should not be a big deal if you have your own transportation and we found that Chowking delivers, there’s also a picnic area with a grill under the trees close by. The staff we dealt with are friendly and accomodating (shout out Leah). Would definitely stay here again the next time I go to the Ilocos.
