We picked this resort because it ticked every wish we had and the reviews are wonderful. It is the perfect hotel to relax and I honestly just didn't want to leave whilst usually we are only at the hotel for some sleep. We relaxed, watched the ocean waves, we went inside a private cave, we had excellent and fresh food which was just perfect. There was a wifi box on the ceiling of our villa so internet was good. And the service, oh gosh, just mind blowing. They surprised us with their warm hearts, made us feel at ease, we never had to worry about anything. They went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. The villas are more spacious than it appears to be on the photo, the bathroom too! Shower is excellent, bedding is good and balcony is huge with a priceless calm view over the ocean. And! They have the luxury of owning a private sand beach. Swimming pool with beautiful (i believe infinity) view over the ocean and I even saw some wildlife animals walking around and climbing into trees which were just cherries on top of the cake. I'm already homesick to this resort. Thank you a million times Rosa and your team (who were like family).

Our hotel has rooms, single, double, triple, family and suite. Also include individual bathroom, cable tv, air conditioning, wi-fi optical fiber.
We had a day layover in San Salvador. We stayed at the Rancho hotel and really enjoyed it. The main lobby is full of interesting decorations and the Restaurant was excellent. The rooms were very traditional and basic, but cool and comfortable. The hotel in not for fancy pants folk, but great for anyone looking for an authentic San Salvador experience. I will definitely stay there again.

My friend Claudia and I just got back from staying at this place. The owner, his family and his staff were all amazing to us. The views of the ocean are breathtaking. The hotel has 2 pools and a lovely restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and plentiful. We wanted to be in a safe, relax and friendly hotel and it is exactely what we got. Everything around it is gorgeous. Easy and inexpensive access to town and other cool places to visit like El Tunco. We have enjoyed going to local markets and meeting the locals. Highly recommend it.

Cozy family house, with 2 guest rooms. Awesome lake view from the property, garden and main guest room. Located 6 blocks away from central plaza. Right at the edge of town you get the peacefull rural feeling of waking up with birdsongs and no traffic noise!
The Mayan Grouper hotel is just amazing. The grounds are stunning and the view is incredible. The room was lovely and the cooling air conditioning was very welcome! Rene and his team are what make this even better though - personal touches and thoughtful details around the property make staying here extra special. The location is perfect for exploring Suchitoto.

Absolutely fantastic views of the lake from my room! And from the hotel restaurant. Room was clean, AC worked well and the WiFi was serviceable. Hotel and bar staff were friendly and attentive. If I’m every back at Lake Coatepeque, this is where I’m staying.

The Hostal is a short walk from the main square. Very helpful owners, don’t really speak much English so be prepared to try out your Spanish. Lovely chill out area with hammocks and comfy chairs. Room was hot, no AC but fans were supplied. Enjoyed our stay, perfect for our budget! Enjoyable Local Breakfast was included too.

This is our specialty... just get in touch with the thermal pools... inmerse yourself in the invigorating waters that originate deap beneath the Santa Teresa geyser. Clear your mind, soothe your soul and let your body find its natural balance and feel much younger. Termales de Santa Teresa...the fountain of youth, the most wonderful place to rejuvenate, relax and fill your body with energy.
My husband and I traveled here for a day trip from San Salvador. First, we traveled to Tazumal and then onto Ahuapachan and from there we visited the city of Ahupa which is a town right before Santa Teresa. Our entry fee included access to all of the thermal pools, the mud/sauna treatment, and lunch. I believe the entry fee for my husband, and I was less than $25 USD total. The pools were perfection! All except the really hot pool which was so hot my husband and I could barely pit our feet in lol. The Termales are full of volcanic pools that range in temperature and were quite relaxing. The mud scrub and sauna were perfect additions, and my husband loved the hot coal walk. As for the food, the options were limited with our package, but the chicken sandwiches were tasty, nonetheless. I would however advise drinking only bottled water or bottled beverages if your stomach is not accustomed to the water. I did not heed that advice and caught a bit of food poisoning from one of the fresh juices. Aside from that small issue, my husband and I had a wonderful day at the Termales. We left tired and with extremely supple skin! I cannot wait to return!

Hotel Puesta del Sol is located in Playa El Tunco, 350mts from the commercial area, in its sorroundings there are ATMs,laundry, restaurants, bars, surf lessons and much more. Hotel Puesta del Sol is 30 km from San Salvador and 7 km from La Libertad. The nearest airport is El Salvador Airport, 35 km from Hostal Puesta del Sol.
Hostal Puesta del Sol is your typical basic low cost Central American hotel room: small with a twin bed, dim lighting, en suite decent bathroom, no view. There is a pool, so that's a plus. Hotel is about a 3 minute walk from El Tunco. Walk felt ok after sundown but I wouldn’t do it late at night. A tasty and filling free breakfast was included and there is an on-site restaurant. Friendly staff. Glad I chose this over a party hostel.
