We booked this accommodation because we had to travel with our cat and the website stated that pets are accepted. We said when booking that we would have a small cat with us. We booked one of the nicer rooms available and paid over €240 for two nights. (On the property’s website even the most expensive rooms go for less than €120 per night.) The owner replied saying ok, you may bring a cat and I will give you a room with a terrace so ‘the cat would be more comfortable.’ She did not say more about the type of room and we understood that it would be comparable to what we booked (or if not, that the price would be adjusted). The owner also did not mention an animal surcharge. When we arrived, after a long drive from Brussels and in extreme heat, the owner showed us to a terrible, small, very shabby room that is not even on her website. The room was not in the wing where all the ‘real’ rentable rooms are. The toilet was outside. The terrace was blazing hot, impossible to use. The room as well. We asked about a fan and were told that it was not available. There was no fridge or tea/coffee making facilities, as was advertised. We asked whether there would be a discount and were told no, either take this or leave. Of course at that point, having driven all day and having an old, diabetic animal with us, leaving to go and try to find something else was not an option. The room was so hot that we could not sleep both nights. The cat also became ill from the heat. It was clear that we were taken advantage of, and stuck in a horrible room that no one else would take even for free. When we left, we were also charged a cat supplement on top of €240. This is completely unfair and dishonest. We chose this property and agreed to pay the price based on the rooms we saw on the website. We understand that the owner can reserve specific rooms for people traveling with animals, and can charge extra for the animal, or charge for any specific damage done by the animal, but the details of the room should have been disclosed upfront. We would have never, ever agreed to pay this price for the terrible small, hot, shabby room that looked a million times worse than the real rooms she rents. In fact we wouldn’t have stayed in this room even for free. It was more complicated by our limited French.

Ideally located in the countryside and only 15/20 minutes from the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, the Hote Antique is a beautiful stately home Bourguignonne 15th and 16th century. Sabrina and Arnaud invite you in a unique universe with four beautiful rooms furnished in old stables and an atypical room for an unforgettable experience, arranged in a dovecote of the 15th century. Lovers of authent
L'Hote Antique was a wonderful discovery. Sabrina has done a great job in refurbishing a wonderful building which curiously, at one stage in its history, was a zoo. It has become a beautiful home for her and her family and an exceptional small luxurious B&B for her guests. The quality of the furniture, the bedding, the pool speaks volumes for the care that has been taken in developing the whole establishment. Thank you Sabrina; wish we could have stayed longer!

The delightful couple who run this little gem have restored it, with their own hands, from a complete ruin. It's quirky, fun, efficient, and very comfortable. If you speak French you will enjoy their company over dinner - and Jerome is an excellent cook, so you'll certainly enjoy the dinner (an apéritif in the brick-vaulted wine-cellar, followed by 4 courses, accompanied by 4 good local wines). The rooms are spacious, well heated and air conditioned, with powerful showers and comfortable beds. If you like to read in bed, you'll think that brighter bedside lighting would be an improvement. Jerome will prepare a cooked breakfast if you like, but even without that, you'll find you're offered pretty well everything you might want. Our bill, including secure parking, dinner with wines, a very comfortable room and breakfast, came to under 150€. We reckoned it was very good value.

So tucked away we had trouble finding it from the sat nav – but once we set off on foot we found it easily! It’s a very attractive old house with a secure courtyard for parking in. Our room was large and beautifully appointed very quiet and peaceful. The wifi was good and there was a hospitality tray. There was a huge comfy bed and good lighting. A pleasant continental breakfast with home made jams was served in a stately dining room. Good value and central for Chatillon’s sights - including the pretty source of the Douaix which must be one of the shortest rivers in Ffrance! But be aware they only take payment in cash.

Vign’Appart offers 6 high quality accomodations combining design and comfort, with fitted kitchen. Vign’Appart is the best location for business journeys, holidays with your family or friends. Better than a hotel room, you will feel like being home! You will be independent and can walk to a lot of restaurants and wineries. Located between Dijon and Beaune on the Grands Crus Road, you will be able to visit wine cellars, practice sports and discover cultural activities.
We’ve stayed before & even had the same appt. Room is nicely appointed, bed was very firm but decent size. Shower is way too tight & waterfall shower head floods the bathroom as it’s too big. Heating was good. What disappointed us was that we were contacted to ask when we would be arriving as someone would come to greet us. We called to advise & had a pleasant welcome but the reception was immediately closed up. The building appeared empty apart from us Although I’m hoping another room was occupied as someone had left the front door open when we got back at 9pm. For €100 it wasn’t a great experience. It’s a handy location for a visit to NSG but the town is dead in late Feb, especially on a Monday night. Stay in Beaune instead.

We had two lovely nights here exploring the area en route to skiing in Val D’Isere. The hosts Laurence and Christophe are amazingly friendly and thoughtful and their accommodation is lovely . Christophe bought us a gougere from the local baker after we had mentioned it in passing ! Santenay is a great location to enjoy all of Burgundy . Would definitely recommend - there are some lovely restaurants in Santenay and within a few miles and lots of wine tasting caves to enjoy

at the heart of the charming village of Etaules, this big burgundian building charmed to us and we decided to share her. 2 big rooms completely renovated by ourselves, peaceful atmosphere. Big bathroom and toilets separated. We propose you relaxation and peace at the edge of the swimming pool in an attractive garden with tree.We provide you with a big closed court and big garages if necessary.
