The hotel was great! Comfy bed, big room and great breakfast. However, I had 3 interactions with the front desk and all were not up to standard. The first was when I arrived and I was told breakfast was not included and when I asked again, the receptionist was simply not pleasant and with little patience. The 2nd was when I asked for extra towels as I needed them for my morning workout, they never came. The last took the cake. I was checking out and the receptionist gave me a pen from a bowl of pens, asking me to sign the credit card receipt. I did as was told and put back the pen. She looked at me, removed the pen said that’s perfect, now I have to sanitize all the pens! Completely rude and uncalled for!

B&B Hotel in Bayreuth is a simple, moderately priced hotel in the heart of Bayreuth. The hotel looks quite new and is quite clean. The covid-19 restrictions were taken very seriously. Unfortunately, this meant that they couldn't offer breakfast or open a common area. Our room was rather small, but sufficient. It had a TV, wardrobe, air-conditioning and soap in the bathroom. Towels were clean and changed regularly, even when not specifically asking for it. The people in the reception were friendly at all times, same holds for the cleaning staff. In the reception you will find vending machines for coffee and cold drinks. A supermarket, bakeries and restaurants of any sort can be found just around the corner. Parking is possible in a nearby garage (2-3 mins walking) at 7 euros per day. I can recommend B&B Hotel Bayreuth since it is located centrally at moderate cost and offers most things that one would expect.

We spent three nights in a clean and comfortable room in this traditional inn. The restaurant has a good selection of German dishes. As visitors to the Wagner Festival for the first time (at short notice) this accommodation was at the opposite end of town from the venue. The hourly bus took us from south into the centre where we caught a connection immediately to the Festspielhaus. Off-street parking only available out of season when eating outside is not in demand.

This review is about the Brewery/Restaurant not the Hotel. A trip to the 80s. Old hotel-restaurant in the center of the sanatorium/spa area of the town. We were the first customers of the day and the clientele arriving after us was mirroring the age structure of the staff. 70+. They had 5 beers on tap (Export, Kurpils, Schwärzberg, Raban and Kurweizen) and two Hopfenstopfer beers on bottles (Citra and Incredible). It's a bit weird that the supermarkets in the region have better selection of their Hopfenstopfer beers than they do. Maybe the sanatorium visitors aren't that adventurous and don't drink IPAs. The food was really old school. I wasn't expecting anything else. Friendly service though.

The staff was nice. We got there a little later than planned. The lady showed us to use the fancy room key. We had a room at the front of the building, so there was noise from the traffic. The bed was comfy, bathroom roomy. Had a TV, linens, and soap. Breakfast the next morning was yummy. Check out was easy.

Lovely looking hotel but not easy to find. We went round in circles until we found someone to guide us. Reception is entered on one level and was the only entrance to the hotel and yet there were many exits. We had a room on the 7th floor which is reached by lift, you can exit the hotel at that level and then you at the hundreds of steps you have to go up to reach the town. A real nightmare! Worst part is that when you return down all those steps, you can’t get back in at level 7 so you have go down 4 more levels to enter the hotel. If you can exit, why can’t you enter? So very strange. Corridors were huge and beautiful ornate windows. The room was huge with a box inside for a shower room. It was some religious hotel which we hadn’t realised. There was a cross above the bed which we tried to remove but it was glued on. First time ever we’ve had a religious symbol in a hotel forced on us. Put it up when you have your religious groups staying but remove for hotel guests! It should be a choice. It is not our religion. Breakfast was a buffet but no cooked food. Not a hotel we’d choose again as the photos showed it in the town and infact it was outside the walls and down a long long way.

We had booked this hotel online for 1 night, without knowing anything about it. When we arrived, it was kind of strange. There is no obvious reception and we were welcomed in the bar/common room. First we were asked if we wanted to see the room first before we paid. No need, we just wanted to sleep. Breakfast was not included in the price but was cheap, 7 euro per person, free for kids. we could tell our time for breakfast ourselves. We also wanted 4 beers to go for in the room, which was only 6 euro for half liters. Then we were shown our room. The room had a part with a twin bed, and a part with a single bed, a table, chair and tv. In the closet there was a cooker, a fridge and a microwave. Also the room had a nice and clean bathroom. Looking more closely to the room we saw some 'issues'. Like stains on the table (which could easily be wiped with some water), missing plinths, curtains that were slightly to small to be closed. Nothing really serious actually but it looks kind of strange and cheap. the next mornig we got up for breakfast. One table was already set for us. With two kinds of bread, 3 types of cheese, two types of meat, 4 types of jam, yoghurt, freshly cooked eggs. We got coffe, tea and milk and orange juice. Also mini cupcakes and chocolate. So a really elaborate breakfast, especially for that price. We chose this hotel because of its location near the highway south, it's only a few minutes away from it. That was convenient. This is not a four star hotel, it's simple, clean and friendly.

Great stay, The room was big and comfortable. Decor was chic Great wifi. Went above and beyond on day of check out. Our coach to France was not due to leave until midnight. They kindly looked after our luggage and then let the 4 of us stay in the lobby until time to leave, Even though the lobby was unmanned ..
