Disappointing and awful location
Reviewed By Q7294TGjoannesI really wanted to like this place more. But it is let down by a few things. Firstly, the good ... our room was a junior suite and was a good size with a new and clean bathroom and plenty of space. The whole property is very small, only 6 rooms, but very nicely decorated and very clean throughout. But things to know before you book ... the location is not great. It is on a main road, the parking is a few hundred metres down the road with no help to bring the bags to the hotel. There is a beach opposite, over the main road which is nice with pebbles instead of sand and a couple of restaurants to eat at. You need a car to stay here. It is close to Pompeii and Vesuvius but an hour from Sorrento and longer to Positano. None of the staff speak English and the main lady has a rather brusque manner which can be off putting. We asked for extra towels but were told that as they had been changed that morning, we weren't allowed more. We were told that for eco reasons they didn't want to provide more towels, but the breakfast is a bowl of small packaged condiments, which was completely un eco friendly. Breakfast was poor, especially if you are a diabetic or want to watch your weight as it comprises solely of sugared pastries. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant, which is in a very small brick converted furnace and it was one of the worst meals we've ever had. We were the only customers that night and were told that the sea bass that we wanted was finished, which we couldn't understand. As this was the only vegetarian option, we ended up with some whole fried fish which was inedible. We had no soap for the first three days and the shower gel was not replenished throughout our stay. It's worth mentioning that there is a dog on-site, which we had no problem with, but if you are not fond of dogs, be advised that there is a pit bull in reception. She was very sweet but we weren't advised beforehand or asked if we were allergic or anything like that. It's not a 'bad' hotel, it just feels as though it's not run very well and it could be better. I really think there are better options out there sadly.

Apartment Close to train station and Ferries along Amalfi coast.
Reviewed By 188annThis apartment was very close to the train and restaurants. It Was clean and comfortable. When we booked the amount for 2 apartments ( over A$2000) In the contract the money should have been taken from our bank account a week before arrival but was taken 9 weeks before. This took some weeks to sort out with financial inconvenience to us, but eventually sorted with numerous phone calls overseas at our expense. We are in our 70s and on arrival we had emailed to say the time of our train arrival the night before, again ringing on arrival waiting out side the building. The host assured us he was on his way, After waiting well over an hour and 3 phone calls to ask again how long would he be to bring the keys and one of those phone calls he hung up on us. With no apology he arrived and just said he had to pick his daughter up from school. There is no where to sit and it is on the street in the weather out side the locked door on the footpath. This is not appropriate to run a business this way. The apartment we had, had no plug to the kitchen sink and only one wine glass, in fairness to him he replaced it with another one, BUT took it from the next door apartment, same with wine glass so the people that were to occupy that apartment would have had the same problem we had. So obviously no audit of contents is done prior to arrival. Breakfast included in deal is one croissant and coffee at a cafe around corner. Would I stay again, No! because of the way we were treated.

Fair stay if you have a car and eat out every day. Very limited breakfast. A bit noisy surroundings.
Reviewed By Mihai TView over the golf is impressive. Parking is safe. Room was large. Internet WiFi coverage is good, with measured speed 6MB/s download and 1MB/s upload, enough for normal Internet browsing, email and social media sites. There is constant noise from the shipyard nearby, every working day, all day long; also in the night from the nearby restaurant, up to midnight. Breakfast is very limited. For each person you get: 1 croissant, 1 pack of toast, 1 jelly (same type every day), 1 Nutella portion, 1 small glass of fruit juice (not at you choice but as given in that day), coffee and tea (unlimited). Same breakfast during 9 days was a challenge. I wish we would have had also normal bread not just toast, and butter, maybe yogurt, more then one glass of juice, cereals, variations of jelly.
