The Māori call Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau — a maiden desired by 100 lovers,
and a valuable territory fought over for centuries for its fertile land and
natural harbors on the Pacific Ocean (to the east) and Tasman Sea (to the
west). Today, it’s New Zealand’s largest city: A vibrant and diverse place
where nature and urban life go hand-in- hand, with 48 volcanic cones, more
than 50 islands, and 29,000 km of coastline and beaches just minutes away
from the arts and shopping of the central city.

Was woken up at 2am by the fire alarm. Someone had set it off in one of the rooms. Then witnessed a fight. The room was clean and tidy, but we won't go back. Basically did not get any sleep and was worried about what was going to happen next. I tried to explain what had happened to the receptionist, but I got the impression this is a common occurrence.

We spent 2 nights at Cranmore and loved the spacious room with beautiful gold velvet drapes with matching gold velvet dining chairs. The bathroom was modern and huge, big enough for 2 people to use together. The only problem we had was aircon was not working, but a call to reception quickly resolved the problem with a heater being supplied by the friendly lady at reception. We did notice the coffee cups had coffee stains inside, maybe new cups needed? Overall a very pleasant stay.

Staying at the "Ocean Breeze Hotel" made our 8 weeks of medical treatment away from home alot more enjoyable. It's in a great location, has very comfortable rooms but the staff was what made all the difference. Always keen to help, interested and they worked hard to ensure our comfort under difficult circumstances, including booking us the same room on each return. Our home away from home!

The Harbour View Cottage Boutique Hotel and B&B welcomes visitors and guests since 2000. Its romantic colonial character comes from its unique design and setting 20 metres away from the historic 1868 Homestead. It was built re-using the timber from the original stables built for the wounded horses of the Royal Artillery following the Battle of Gate Pa in 1864. Set in a quiet sub tropical environment home to many native birds, planted with fruit and palm trees and landscaped with hanging baskets, water feature and miniature vineyard, it has been described as an oasis few ropes away from the heart of Auckland City. Its central location, reachable by bus or train is half way between the Airport and Auckland CBD, making it a handy base to discover most major city attractions (Ferry Terminal, Viaduct Basin, City beaches, Eden Park or Mt Smart Stadium) and the perfect Port-O-Call and point of entry (or Exit) for business travellers and tourists visiting New Zealand. The Cottage itself is charming and well appointed, offering total independence, privacy and safety for any couple willing to self-isolate in style. It features its own air conditioning unit, a veranda with swing bed and outdoor dining, living room with work space, bathroom with laundry facilities, a mezzanine bedroom with views and a fully equipped kitchenette.. Organic and contact-less Room Service is available by arrangement with a full range of 'à la carte' breakfasts, home-made gourmet meals, antipasto and dinners. Mini bar, Nespresso Machine and soda maker are also part of the standard equipment with Tea and coffee being complimentary. BUSINESS: The cottage offers a work station with free unlimited wireless fibre-optic broadband, charging station, USB wide screen for your laptop as well as scanning and printing facility. A Multilingual Translation & Interpreting service is available on site.
Stayed 9 nights at this home away from home. The bed was beautifully comfortable and the cottage amenities were all you need, you can cook, clean, launder & dry clothes and relax. It was lovely. Highly recommended (but do be aware bedroom is up quite steep stairs so may not be suitable for mobility challenged people) There is however a beautifully comfortable couch downstairs that can be used as a bed. So close to lots of choices of bakeries and eating places and a supermarket. I would definitely choose this over any motel option

Definitely would go back! Such a lovely couple and they accommodated us at such short notice as we had an emergency trip to Auckland. The house was so well set up as a B&B with bar and lounge area for guests, and the bed was very comfortable and bedrooms very spacious. We had the entire top floor to ourselves. Brian and Margaret are very friendly and we particularly loved the waffles for breakfast. Thank you for making our stay in Auckland so lovely! 10/10

Location was great, close to bus, shops, library, and easy walk downtown. Beautiful furniture in dining area, modern appliances in kitchen and bathroom. Spotless place. Bedroom was beautiful, simple but each piece of furniture chosen with care. I would have loved any of the pieces in my home. Lots of space to chill out in living room or at dining room table. Got a great sleep as it was quiet and tranquil.

Family-owned Woodhouse Mountain Lodge is located on 100 acres of private land known as Kourawhero Estate in the Matakana hinterland and is just an hour’s drive from Auckland. Contemporary secluded and luxurious villa accommodations in paradise-like grounds are set high above surrounding land, meaning privacy is guaranteed and views extend as far as the Hauraki Gulf. Our facilities include a restaurant, outdoor pool, sauna, day spa, cocktail bar and extensive grounds to explore. We invite you to escape to our lofty mountain top vista, offering space to breathe and unwind, whether it is for a break away, a private event, a wedding or a corporate retreat.
We absolutely loved our night at Woodhouse Mountain Lodge and keen to return! Both of us said how much we wished we had booked in for dinner, after checking in and enjoying the room, we really couldn’t be bothered driving back to Matakana for our dinner reservation and wished we were just coming down to the lovely restaurant. We slept so well; loved the peace & tranquillity of the property, and it was a great touch to finish our stay with a beautifully cooked breakfast in the morning. Next time will definitely be dinner on-site; and time spent enjoying the bar, library, and jacuzzi! I’ve already recommended it to a few friends, and will definitely keep it in mind for future small work events too.

New property in between Auckland CBD & Parnell. Suitable for both Leisure and business travellers. All rooms have full kitchen and laundry facilities. on-site cafe, Italian, Sushi & Japanese Restaurant for your convenience. Walking distance to Museum, Parnell Village, AUckland CBD, University, Vector Arena, ASB Tennis Centre.
Thoroughly outstanding place to stay where you get guest service just like in the old days. James and his team are first class. We rented the two bedroom apartment and it was excellent - we cooked from home and the kitchen was well equipped to do so. Having free access to the Next Gen gym just up the road was an extra added bonus.

The Convent, once a community for nuns, is now a uniquely crafted boutique hotel with 22 cosy, character filled rooms that have everything you need... and nothing you don’t. The Convent is a place where you can live like a local, create connections to people and place… all without taking a vow of poverty.
Situated in Grey Lynn, the convent is as its name suggests a former nunnery. It has acres of character, with lots of old wood and original fittings. The rooms are on the small side, but they are well appointed. The only thing lacking is a decent cooked breakfast option.
