I had an excellent overnight stay with my wife twice this year in Matia Resort. The location is well placed 5 minutes walk from Cetatea Alba Carolina, in a quiet residential area with nice old villas and lots of places to eat. The hotel is sparkling clean and the staff is very welcoming. It has its own parking lot. I recommended it. We will definitely come back.

Mr.Viorel and his wife are very welcoming, talkative and ready to help you. The room is very clean, quiet and the views are fantastic. The breakfast was traditional and tasty. Ghetarul Scarisoara Cave is 200 m away from it. The road from Gârda to the guest house was challenging especially if droven by night, but it's paved so there were no problems.

We stayed here for one night during our Apuseni trip. It is a wonderful place, really nice and quiet. The rooms are clean and the host was very friendly. They don't offer breakfast but you can find a nice place really close.

We stayed only for one night here but it was a very pleasant experience: nice rooms well maintained and very clean. Only a few minutes away from the citadel (7 min). Large and great breakfast . We did not had dinner or lunch but we noticed that they also have a pizzeria/restaurant.

Staying at Cabana Pin is a totally unique experience (jn a really good way) for any western European and not what we expected. We arrived in Lupșa and had been told to ring the contact number when we did. The cabin is down a 5 km track that a normal car could just about navigate but it would take a long time. Peter Snr who lives in Lupșa, (the man on the contact number is Peter Jnr and he lives in Sebeș), arrived with his SUV and gave us the choice of following him or going in his car. Initially this made us concerned about how we might come and go from the property but all became clear a little later. Peter Snr does not speak English but his son does - so any queries were dealt with by phone. We had no food with us and wondered how we would eat. This was soon sorted as Peter Snr presented us at the cabin with delicious home-made stuffed vine leaves - washed down with home-brewed polinka! We had a great evening in a stunning setting - with a lot of laughter. I milked a cow for the first time and drank its fresh milk. The next morning, Peter took us to his house in Lupșa for an incredible breakfast. All fresh produce that his wife had made and prepared from their smallholding. We then went off for the day to explore the area (including Geamăna) and were asked to ring the contact number when we returned that evening. Because we had requested to do so, we had dinner at Peter and Elena's house. It was delicious! Peter Jnr suggested, 'pay what you want for the meal'. An English teacher who is a neighbour of Peter's also came round and gave us lots of information about the local area. What makes Cabana Pin so great therefore is not only the amazing views and isolation of the cabin but the absolutely wonderful hospitality of Peter and his wife Elanor. You also end up with insights to what it must be like to live in this part of Romania. We booked this place for a family of three. It could actually accommodate about 12 people.

A nice guesthouse with wonderful hosts! A great place near the city center! Accommodation conditions are super related to rates. In the summer it can be use the swimming pool. There are wifi and private parking. A mini market is located at 50 m, and at about 500 m there is a PROFI shop.

After arrival we asked for food , unfortuantelly restaurant was closed, but owner prepared for us nice dinner. Friendly place, nice suroundings, clean and decent rooms for good price. As it is close to Transalpina road it is the best option where to stay for motorbikers.

It is a good hotel to stay in Alba Iulia. It is pretty close to city center, about 10-minutes walk. They also have a restaurant( I did not tried it ), parking and a playground for children. Prices a little bit high.
