Any city that can be the butt of a Simpson's joke ("That's it! We're all going back to Winnipeg!") and simultaneously one of the most vibrant cultural centers in Canada is tops in our book. The city's history of isolation and self-sufficiency means that Winnipeggers are unpretentious and sincere (and fun-loving enough to name Homer an honorary citizen). Though the winters are long and cold, there are plenty of indoor activities to both keep you warm and stimulate your imagination.

We are a Float Centre in Winnipeg, that offers floatation therapy. Floating is a practice where one enters into a Float Environment, where 10 inches of skin temperature water is saturated with 900 lbs of USP grade Epsom Salts, creating an environment free from gravity to help alleviate pain and stress on the body. The Float Environment also provides a stimulus free experience. With no sound, smell and the option to turn the light off, floating provides the user an experience that is so unique that it triggers the relaxation response in the body. Come by and try a float for your self, Intro Float Packages are available for first time users.

I just love coming to FloatCalm. The front entrance is inviting with a lovely space to hang out in and items to buy. Tristan was super friendly and helpful. The float room is great! Shower, soap, ear wax, head/halo floatie, nice towel, calm lighting, warm. The tank time is awesome. So perfect for meditation time. Nice to just Let Go and become weightless. I enjoy this so much. I practically pour myself out of the tank at the end and leave feeling refreshed and uplifted. The hair dryer, qtips, lotion in the primping room is appreciated. Everything is clean and tidy. Nice feeling atmosphere. Can’t Wait to come back!

The float therapy rooms at Fluid Float Studio are not equipped with “pods” or “tanks”—they’re cabins. At four feet wide, eight feet long, and nearly seven feet high, they ensure that nobody gets claustrophobic during their session. What’s more, they don’t even have to be in the dark. Thanks to optional sound and light, clients can create their own custom mood.

Pocca Poca offers authentic Japanese Therapy from thermal experience called Ganban-yoku - loosely translated as stone bathing to Japanese traditional massage called Shiatsu. Ganban-yoku uses rare natural stones found only in certain areas of the world. These stones are embedded in the comfortably heated flat slab beds and release therapeutic warmth to heat your body from the bones and organs. Which also promote health, healing, and relaxation.
I've had the opportunity to enjoy this spa on two different occasions. The first time was a dream, but I was able to get even more out of the experience the second time. The heated stones permeate through your body and the warmth is so healing. I highly recommend to try the private room for two people, whether it's a couple or friends, especially for the first experience so that you can talk about it. In the communal room there is no talking, but in the private room, it's okay, but usually reserved for the "cool off" moments. I went in with a sore hip and it certainly felt much better after the treatment. 90 minutes is also recommended. The time goes by fast! Arrive early and don't rush out! The staff are phenomenal!
