Louisiana tourism is centered on New Orleans and the North Shore region in the southeastern corner of the state near the Florida border. West of New Orleans is the Great River Road, with the I-10 running to the Mississippi River port capital city of Baton Rogue. West of New Orleans along the Gulf of Mexico, the I-10 cuts through Lafayette and Lake Charles on its way past Abbeville to Texas. Central Louisiana is Lake Country, and home to cities like Alexandria and Natchitoches. In northern Louisiana, the I-20 runs west from Monroe to Bossier City, Shreveport, and East Texas. Unless Louisiana is very familiar and frequent territory, New Orleans will be the top choice for a Louisiana vacation. Though Mardi Gras, music, and the winning ways of the New Orleans Saints football team get the spotlight, there is much more to explore in New Orleans. Within New Orleans choose among Bourbon Street, Royal Street, the Upper and Lower French Quarters, the Warehouse and Central Business District, the Garden District and Uptown, and Mid-City. With street car lines linking the French Quarter to the Garden District, Convention Center, and everywhere else, it is easy for the whole family to get around. If long walks are your exercise, explore the scenic city on foot. An easy two-hour drive from New Orleans brings you to Baton Rogue, Natchitoches and Lake Country. Explore old Beauregard Town in downtown Baton Rogue, the historic homes of the Baton Rogue Garden District, and tour one or several working plantations. Walk the 33-block Historic Landmark District and tour the historic homes and churches of Natchitoches. Relive Spanish Empire history in Louisiana at Fort St. Jean Baptiste State Historic Site. Heading west from New Orleans is Cajun Country and Lafayette with its mix of French, French Canadian (Acadian), Spanish, and Caribbean cultures. Besides Cajun and Creole cookery, explore the Civil War heritage at the Lafayette Museum. Stop by Abbeville to view the courthouse designed by Hayes Town, St. Mary Magdalen Church, and have a seafood meal. With 75 annual festivals Lake Charles is Louisiana's Festival City, and home to the Creole Nature Trail Scenic Byway. Shreveport and Bossier City in northwest Louisiana are casino and entertainment centers. Shreveport is renowned for hosting the Louisiana State Fair in the fall. Plus floral centers, art galleries, and museums. Monroe in the northeast also has notable gardens.

The owner of both of the spa and hair salon matched me perfectly with an aesthetician that knew exactly what I wanted. I was hesitant at first as this was my first time getting my eyebrows down but the result was better than I could have asked for. Additionally, the place was VERY clean and neat which was just what I wanted. To top it off I was greeted with a nice refreshing glass of champagne when I arrived at the spa. Overall an amazing experience and would never go anywhere else when in New Orleans.

The south's oldest and largest health and racquet club keeping the people of Lafayette, LA healthy for over 50 years. Red's facilities include: 2 large co-ed work-out areas, ladies only workout area, 20 outdoor and 3 indoor tennis courts, 4 racquetball courts, junior olympic outdoor pool, 2 indoor pools, kids water park, basketball court, MIT (maximum intensity training) facility, indoor and outdoor jogging tracks, indoor and outdoor bootcamp courses, and more.
This gym is truly the largest and top notch gym out there. This gym sports 1000 pieces of equipment which makes it convenient to workout cause you always have a choice of your favorite machines. I have been to such a large and super nice gym. This is a two story gym with about 20 or 30 tennis courts including several indoor tennis courts with several indoor racket ball courts. It also possesses several indoor basketball courts as well as a boxing ring and three pools. Not to mention the owner was a mr America and is one of the best human beings I have ever met. He is in his 70’s and still opens his own gym at 3 am every morning. He is a man of great faith and it shows in his love and generosity. If you are passing through the area and are looking for a great gym that sells day passes this is the place for you. Truly an awesome gym!!!!!!

Day Spa providing various massage therapies, aesthetic services, & spa packages/parties.
Both my daughter in law & I enjoyed our massages, they listened to our needs and met them! Rebecca went above and beyond to get the knots out of my daughter in laws back. Queenie, who did my massage, did a fantastic job on the deep tissue/hot stone massage.

Review From a Nola native/ local who’s been going to Spa Atlantis for over 10 years : I love this charming spa with all its New Orleans ambiance tucked away in the old historic bldg in the French Quarter... it’s low key and private if you want to get away from lots of people and stress energy. 1. The service providers are excellent. I travel all over the country and have been to spas at many 5 star hotels and resorts and the quality of the services at Spa Atlantis are on par with those places - minus the exorbitant prices. The products they use are excellent. 2. The staff and owner (Richard Borne) are 100% focused on accommodating their guests and they are very flexible and personable. I just had the most amazing facial today with Cathy Ringer - check her out seriously. My favorite services at the spa are the rain drop therapy/ deep tissue massage, Mani/pedi with Elsa and All of their facial services are excellent quality. Again, I especially Love the private , tucked away charming location. It’s like my secret place that I kind of don’t want anyone to find out about - but I have to say something because Spa Atlantis does a great job - more people should know about them :)).

Nola Bliss provides the best massages in New Orleans with great therapists offering full 60 minute, 90 minute and 120 minute sessions. We offer swedish, deep tissue, hot stone and couples massage with a specialty in Ashiatsu barefoot therapy, 'the deepest most luxurious massage on the planet'. We focus on providing quality customized therapy rather than 'fluff and buff', all at an affordable rate. Our establishment is licensed through the Louisiana State Board of Massage Therapy (#3392).
I’ve had many massages in my life and am trained in Thai massage, and no massage experience I’ve had previously has come close to digging into the most attention-seeking parts of my musculature in the way that my massage with Makenzi did. Highly recommend and will be back!
