We smelt, then saw the pig (suckling?) cooking on the barbecue as we strolled past. We booked the restaurant on the promise of that. We had very tasty soup to start, then the pork which was wonderful. Accompaniments were rice and black beans, yellow rice, malanga (a Cuban root vegetable) and salad. Lovely, unpretentious food. The restaurant is family-run; the staff are very friendly and keen to please us. The food was fresh and tasty and to be recommended to visitors to the Los Jazmines hotel if you are not booked in to eat at the hotel. There are now at least four paladars in this spot, so you will have to stay for four nights if you want to keep the four promises you make to the restaurant scouts that you will eat at their place tonight!

We had the best pina coladas I've had anywhere at Cine Cafe. The cafe is right next door to the Etecsa store where you buy wifi cards, and the wifi in the cafe works well. We kept coming back for the good wifi and better pina coladas while we stayed in Vinales. Thanks!!!

This is a small budget restaurant frequented by locals as well as tourists. It is located at the quieter end of town (in the direction of Puerto esperanza) which makes for a laid back dining experience. There is a standard range of main meals available all at 3.50 CUCs and generally comprising a meat option with rice & beans, salad and banana chips. Portions are substantial and the Pollo Frito (fried chicken) was absolutely fantastic although the grilled pork not quite as tasty. We had complimentary banana chips (they are the business) as an entree with our drinks while we waited for the main food. The restaurant is family run and whilst the staff speak very little English they are hugely welcoming and keen to please. There is a range of sandwiches on offer at 0.50 CUCs each which they will make to take away. We had a few made up on our last evening as we had a 6:45 bus departure and the sandwiches were great for breakfast on the go.

Restaurante Vera is a family owened restaurant AKA paladar which is charming and cozy. It's very clean and within walking distance from the Hotel Los Jazmines. The portions are big and the food tastes amazing! It is seasoned perfectly and could not taste better. It is true Cuban food to the fullest extent of the word and I AM Cuban so I can say that. They first brought out toasted bread with a delicious homemade peppers spread and fruits. Then a soup or caldoza* in Spanish to die for! It was soo good and I drank it soo fast that I forgot to take a picture of it. OMG! That was delicious! Then out came our mail course,I had cordero and my husband had lobster and the sides were white rice and creamy black beans, fried yucca, veggies, salad, arroz moro (yes, moros too). It was reasonably priced for the tourist, I thought, considering we only paid about $15 CUC and we had homemade natural juices, beers and caipirina aside from the meal.I consider this the best food I had during my entire trip and should I visit Vinales again, this will for sure be the place where I'll eat!

Only my second ever trip advisor review, but my excellent experience here and felt I must comment. Fernando and his family are amazing hosts and so welcoming. After travelling around Cuba for two weeks this casa was an oasis calm and fun, so much so that one of my travel partners stayed on for a couple of nights. Fernando himself took care of everything that we asked for, from arranging horse riding to amazing food every night (I can speak with some authority on the food as I am a chef having cooked for most of the heads of state from around the world). Fernando and his wife even joined us for a night out at our request, and took us to some great places that the locals keep up their sleeves, and all the locals welcomed us with opened arms. Fantastic experience from start to finish!

We had lunch in this outdoor restaurant in the Vinales area near the cave. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Three of us ordered vegetarian and were pleased with the quality and quantity of the dishes. Those who ate meat thought the food was okay, but they tasted ours and liked ours better. Each of us paid 15 cuc which was a bit pricey some of us thought. The bathrooms were clean which is always a positive because it reflects on their practice of cleanliness.

Initially recommended to us by Anita at Villa Cristal, Vinales.
We spent a lovely evening having dinner in this relaxing restaurant. Sit and watch the sun go down over the valley while dragonflies and little bats entertain you. It's necessary to take a taxi from the town to get here. The food is fine (not much choice, various meats with rice and salad, followed by fruit) - but you will have a lovely evening if it's fine.

Arriving in Viñales is a luxury of nature, we all know that. You would expect to see beautiful mountains, caves, horses and humble people, thatâs for sure! But what you wouldnât expect is having such a delicious meal, and the most fancy national and international drinks for a simbolic price. Neigther would expect a place decorated like the most exclusive and expensive bars of Europe or America, specially having a 5 stars plus service and staff, and being so cheap in comparison with other places in the area or other places like Havana or Trinidad. Itâs then, a real pleasure to comeback every time Iâm in Viñales, cause I know I will always be surprised with the choice I make.Keep rocking it Cubar!!!
