LA BARRA is a meeting place for anyone who likes good cuisine in the form of tapas, a pleasant environment and a good offer of wines.
Fuimos el jueves a comer cocido con unos amigos y sin duda es el mejor cocido de la zona. En otros sitios pagas 38 euros y no le llega ni a la suela del zapato y no te digo nada de las tapas. El cocido por 12 euros incluye vino y postre

Great restaurant with about 10 tables away from the hustle and bustle of Madrid. The building had been converted from stables years ago so the atmosphere is wonderful. Has an area for outdoor dining when the weather permits. Extensive wine list and reasonably priced. Fixed menu is available 25 Euro/33 Euro. Menu has beef, chicken, fish, pork (suckling pig) and vegetable dishes. Ten desserts to choose from and portions were large. Service was spot on. Leisurely two and a half hour dinner. Reservations recommended.

I always get to write about this restaurant because we come here at least 2 times a week considering we also live in this wonderful town that is dedicated to equestrian and all types of sports, their menu only cost 10 euros per person and always comes with a draft beer or a bottle of wine with casera water or a coke(you choose your drink as part of the menu price), then it comes with first and second plate and a homemade dessert... Today for example we both (hubby and I had) a draft beer with 1st plate --> paella then second plate with fish (a la plancha) with homemade French fries and for dessert flan...where can you eat for this money and homemade in too of it?...so very worth coming here...even if you don't wish to eat from the menu...they have (a la carte) that has fish and seafood or simply appetizers shared before to have lunch/dinner...their prices are reasonable and quality is excellent...this is why we hardly ever leave town for other restaurants when we are not traveling .. I love this restaurant! They definately take care of their customer...just one suggestion--> better to call for a reservation if you want to have dinner after 8 pm, it fills up quickly and just about everyone makes reservations..

Founded in 1980 Our restaurant is very bright, as it has large windows. Its rustic decor and wood stove, make it a very cozy, quiet and comfortable place to enjoy a business lunch, a romantic dinner or a good meal accompanied by family and friends restaur

We came here with some friends, who had noticed the place, which opened not too long ago. Stylish, charming interior. The menu is what I'd call "typical modern Spanish", i.e., mostly Spanish classics, slightly varied. The food was very nicely presented and tasted very good to excellent (not quite the highest level). An extra bonus for the creative and very yummy desserts - even our waist-conscious friends participated. Friendly and attentive service. It's not a cheap place, but not especially expensive either. Definitely a place to return to, it made it (just) into my top category.

This restaurant is in the outskirts of Madrid but there is good transport from the Center. What a gem! The decoration is lovely, the staff is professional, friendly and quick. The food is absolutely excellent, presentation, quality, taste and price. Of course, eating any sort of rice dish here is a must! Also fish cooked in salt is something I will recommend. I will definitely recommend to anyone this place. The toilets are downstairs and as I don't need it, I am not sure if there is access for wheelchairs toilets

I have been explained that this place follows the Basque tradition. The fact that it is simple (as opposed to flashy) could easily confuse the customer, but the food is really good. Try the anchovies with peppers, the jamon with cheese, the eel, the fried cheese. Besides the wine (also good) I would recommend the cider... try to fill your glass yourself... you'll find out!Thank you very much for your words!
