The BioCreperia is a vegetarian restaurant where the food is almost entirely prepared by hand. We offer a range of sweet and savoury crêpes as well as a tasty meal, which is always different, as we use fresh organic products that we grow ourselves in Acus
We werenât even sure that weâd find anywhere to eat on arrival in Arternara but we stumbled across two close to each other, but this little vegan restaurant flying prayer flags outside, really captured our imagination (and Iâm a full time meat eater!) They have a brilliant philosophy about using home grown and organic foods mostly sourced locally in the mountain top village. Everything is fresh, tasty and beautifully cooked. Ok thatâs a big claim for my first visit but I ordered two crepes, one tomato and local cheese and also a roasted banana, toffee & rum and both were mouth-wateringly scrummy! I also enjoyed a locally brewed craft beer which was wonderfully hoppy and served really cold, a gorgeous relief on this baking hot day.The owner was really friendly and extremely helpful and clearly passionate about the food and their approach. I was anxious that we waited so long to be served but there is definitely a laid back un-rushed atmosphere here and SO lovely to hear fluent Spanish everywhere unlike the horrendous English holiday atmosphere of Puerto Rico where we are staying. This restaurant is a gem of a place :-) Gracias!!!

Healthy and good food made with love in a unique place
Really impressed with this little cafe in Teror. Perfectly placed, it sits bordering the beautiful church plaza. The waiter was friendly, cool and was attentive enough to try and speak English with us when I was struggling with my Spanish. The menu was pleasantly inexpensive and the menu choice was more than sufficient. They didn't have everything on the menu when we were there; however, we were kindly given a free dish to try (one with locally sourced ingredients) which was delicious. This was a great place to chill and relax in the sun and we would definitely come back if we were to return to Teror.

Visited for lunch. Received a very warm welcome. Did not stretch to the grilled meats, their speciality, but ensalada, ropa vieja and croquetas de langostinos were very good. â¬30 for the food, wine and coffees. We also were given a non-alcoholic fruit "licor" (driving) and home made cake compliments of the house.Recommended.

Visited the Meson Los Roquetes Grill out of curiosity. The location of the restaurant is really spectacular and the service is very nice and attentive. The quality of the food is not bad, but could be much better. The calamari, steak, and mushrooms were abundant and could have easily fed another person.

Country restaurant located in one of the most interesting and unrepeatable frames of Gran Canaria (Protected Natural Area - Pico de Osorio). It is located at Cruce La Laguna, in the municipality of Valleseco (45 minutes from the capital in the direction o
Traditional Canarian fare, with menus seasonal or festival changes. The view from the outside dining terrace is gorgeous, overlooking a green barranco (valley) with the occasional Canarian house or finca (farm). Service is first class, friendly and attentive. We have never had a indifferent meal here and would recommend dining here for lunch or dinner. Try the charcoal grilled leg of lamb for a real treat!

Situated right in the quiet square facing the basilica (it's not a cathedral), El Encuentro competes with a couple more restaurants for the occasional influx of visitors, especially at the weekend. Quiet, except during days, like today, when they hold some event or other. Today, it was a road race.El Encuentro has both outdoor and indoor seating, so take your pick. It serves Spanish cuisine, but focussing more on Canarian dishes. The portions were rather miserly, more like tapa sizes, or half-portions, at best, so you'd end up ordering quite a few.We started with papas negras, which are a variety only found in Tenerife. They are not found in abundance, so they're more expensive than the other common types. When you cut the potatoes open, you'll be treated with creamy yellow flesh, similar to that of sweet potatoes. They're cooked the "arrugadas" style, boiled with the peel, in highly salted water, which makes the skin wrinkle, and accompanied with mojo sauce. Wonderful as these black potatoes were, I've tasted better. Perhaps, it needed more of the sauces...The croquettes came in 3 kinds of filling: Iberian ham, cod (these two were rather too salty for my liking) and Chorizo de Teror (these were sweetish). The chipirones (baby squid) were bigger than others I've seen and were somewhat tougher too. Bearing in mind that these are usually cheaper than the bigger calamares, I found this dish not value for money.Other dishes we had were a cheese platter, except it wasn't really a platter, keeping in line with their small-portions policy; the normal papas arrugadas, and gofio escaldado. Gofio is traditional Canarian flour, which has a distinct flavour, and this is cooked with fish stock. If you've never tried it, I suggest you did.Service was adequate but next time, I'd be more inclined to try one of those restaurants on the side streets rather than this.

Our specialty is the typical cuisine of the Canarian cuisine. Dishes made with products from our town from very ancient recipes adapted to our style. Enjoy dishes from each island surrounded by countless pictures and antiques That will make for a good tim
By this point in our walking holiday on Gran Canaria we were getting into the way of things - the signage, the terrain, and likely looking places to stop for refreshments. The map indicated three options in close proximity; we thought this tiny roadside place looked best - and then saw a Tripadvisor award in the window. It did not disappoint! One half of the small ground floor is given over to a bar (local people were eating snacks there); the other small room contains just three or four wooden tables for diners, and a magnificent wine rack. Local bread came with a delicious, slightly fruity, chorizo pate made with local meat from Teror; the fresh cheese with fig jam was utterly delicious and so beautifully presented; a plate of crisp salad was generously topped with tuna and egg; we scarcely had space for the garbanzada (chick pea soup). My favourite flowers on the tables, quirky decor, and efficient friendly service. Highly recommended!Thank you very much for your opinion. We were glad to enjoy our home and to describe it so well. A greeting

Nice and cosy restaurant in the center of Teror, combining the typical Canary island style with the homely warmth of the Scandinavian countries. Vegetarian, vegan and ecological options.
Follow the sign boards away from the main square and down the steep, narrow street. We booked for dinner, earlier than most locals, but the place filled later in the evening. Very friendly and attentive staff, food prepared fresh and all tasted good. Good selection of beer and wine at reasonable prices.Went back a couple of days later for coffee in the courtyard. Very pleasant haven from the busy Sunday market.
