1 year after our group (11 persons in the age between 12 and 53 years) had first crashed Tasca Catalina during our vacation time in La Laguna, we again booked a table last Thursday in our favourite restaurant on this amazing island. OMG what a delicious food and amazing atmosphere! As a starter we chose a salad with gambas & sesame, cheese balls, olive and goat cheese cremes accompanied by a choice of white and black bread, fried tomatoes, 4-variations plates consisting out of tasty meat pieces with filled egg, beet salad and spinach tortilla, provolone cheese (baked cheese). After a rich starter, we decided to go with fennel salad and risotto with octopus - I swear the best one I had in my life! The last piece of meal, which suited into my belly, was the phenomenal swordfish roulade. For the dessert, we chose pana cotta with fresh strawberry mousse - phenomenal taste. Tasca has git a few new service team members, who was very professional, friendly and with a good taste for humour. All in all, if there's a food paradise on earth, it is definitely here in Tasca Catalina!

There are not too many choices in Tijarafe and this is perhaps one of the better price to quality. A drink of coffee out front or a paella makes for a pleasant lunch.

Stop by there if you'll be around. It was a half way of my 'around the island' car trip, I took some time for a pan con tomate and a fresh orange juice. The views from a terrace are amazing. Also the owner is a very friendly man.

The staff is very helpful, friendly and speaks English, a little bit Flemish (Gents!) and Deutsch. The menu is not that big but it are all very different dishes. There are also suggestions of the day. The dishes are rather large. I had a starter and a main course, and although I enjoy it, it was too much. But I surely can recommend the tartar of salmon and the trio of ice cream (Nutella, white and brown chocolate) as dessert! It is not the cheapest restaurant, but it's absolutely worth the money. We enjoyed our evening!

Visited several times over the last few months and the food and service has always been good, but you get what you pay for. Very good value for money but if you want fine dining this is not for you. Just take in the views and have a beer or two!!!

We are here in late July and got really excited when we read reviews and looked at the menu. The setting is sublime, the staff very nice, but two of our four entrees were essentially inedible. They were both tuna dishes (Bonita and Yellowfin) and we expected it would be good due to the tuna fishery on La Palma. It was a gray, overcooked lump in both cases. Son had beef and liked it. Daughter had a whole sea bass and liked it too. So choose carefully. Prices very fair!

Popular with local residents as well as tourists this little roadside kiosk turns out delicious freshly prepared tapas at very reasonable prices. Very helpful and friendly staff make it a perfect stop for a leisurely lunch or a relaxing evening.

We came here to celebrate a special occasion and sat on the balcony overlooking the sea, ostriches below and sunset. We tried to go local so our meal included red wine from La Palma (really good) and salad made with local cheese and honey. Every course was amazing and we somehow squeezed in three of them. We were even brought an additional course on the house as well as a complimentary drink at the end. The service was warm and friendly. We were so impressed with the quality and presentation of the food which was not ridiculously expensive. Somehow we managed to walk (or waddle) back to our cottage..make sure you take torches with you if walking on the road at night as very dark. If back in La Palma we would love to return.

This is a very nice local brewery, where they actually brew the beers on site. If you happen to be there at the right time, you can even see the process through the windows. The beers were very good. The food was okay, nothing special, but there was enough choice for everyone from a small menu. If you are a beer lover, you must definitely pay them a visit.
