As the traditional indication of the Michelin guide says, this is a place which "vaut le détour". It's not in Barcelona, not even in the centre of Sabadell, some fifteen miles away, but in the impersonal western industrial outskirts of this otherwise uninteresting suburban city. However, it's easily reachable from central Barcelona for it is quite close to one of the stations of the Catalan railway (Sabadell Can Feu). All the food is great and cooked to perfection, from a fish soup that honestly reveals the real taste of the fish it is made of, to a variety of homemade desserts, passing by a wide range of traditional dishes of Catalan cuisine. An acceptable wine comes with the menu. It's not a fancy place but a rather discreet and unimpressive restaurant. For some reason it reminded me of how the now world famous Can Roca of Girona was many years ago, at its beginnings.

On arrival we found ourselves digging out google translate as the staff couldnât speak English and we couldnât speak Spanish. The menus were also in Spanish. I ordered the guacamole burger while my colleague ordered the spicy burger. We had a portion of fries to share. The food came out within about 10 minutes, the burgers were done medium rare. During the wait were were given a plate of nuts. Food was delicious and the burger was a decent size. Despite the language barrier the staff were great and really helpful. Hello Brad! First thank you for the comments and the nice score, and secondly apologize for not having a menu in English. Our Sandvitxeria is local and there are no menu requests in languages. However, we take responsibility and will take the work of translating into languages. Thanks for the observation. See you soon, friends! "Suis amb Josep Forrellat" is an elegant and welcoming destination in Sabadell. Set in the emblematic two-storey modernist building, formerly the Hotel Suis, we offer current creative and authorial cuisine with touches of world influence in a quiet and re
As you walk into this building which is approximately 400 years old you feel there is something special about this Restaraunt. You don't have to even eat to appreciate this building and the work the owners have put into restoration.Anyway the word is correct about the Chef Josep Forrellat, he is brilliant and his team in the kitchen and on the floor, some of who are family create an atmosphere which starts a gastronomical delight. We had salads, calamari, croquettes, Jamon, muscles, snails and rabbit all complemented with beautiful wine and champagne. We finished with a lemon sorbet infused with vodka and of course some good coffee.I would highly recommend this Restaraunt for anyone from couples to large groups, you won't be disappointed. We will certainly be back. Many thanks olo3 for the exquisite recommendation of the Suis restaurant on TripAdvisor. Your explanation and opinion are very kind, thank you.A warm greeting from RSuis.

After several nice meals I returned again to have one of my staples: an overly complicated dish of rice and vegetables. Instead of the usual white Italian carnoli {sp?} rice it was made with long grain beige basmati rice as specified on the menu. During three sample mouthfuls I became exasperated from spitting out hard pieces of uncooked rice! I rejected the dish and asked for two different dished I liked before, but was told that they were not able to make them that day...So after a protracted discussion about how to make rice correctly and an argument about paying or not; I insisted on paying for the unusually poor onion soup and refreshing bottled water.Could have been worse, I thought, as I bumbled out the door in disbelief...And it was... two days later when I walked 9 blocks in the cool wet evening to find my former "friend" refusing to serve me at all!Like that famous comedian, Rodney Dangerfield, used to say, "Just can't get no respect".

The food in this restaurant is modern mediterranean cuisine with a very clear local flavour. I had a pasta salad with mushrooms and foie gras as a starter and monkfish with grilled vegetables (and a nice dash of romesco sauce on the side). Everything was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. A very enjoyable meal. The waiter was very helpful to us (three non-locals with a few linguistic problems) and brought over the choice of wine bottles when the vocabulary was not quite sufficient to communicate the finer points of choosing the right wine to go with the meal. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Definitely recommended!

Tapas Bar/Restaurant Catalan/Spanish style
We went looking for an authentic local restaurant and found it. This place serves up a variety of tapas, from veggies to meat dishes, seafood and cheeses. My Spanish and Catalan are non-existent, but the waiters politely found us an English menu and spoke English with us. Weâre still adjusting to the local customs as far as time to eat; we arrived at 7:40 in the evening; still 20 minutes before they opened. But they politely gave us a table and brought us drinks while we waited for them to open. As it turned out, Iâm glad we arrived early, because less than an hour later the place was bustling with locals. Food was well prepared and reasonably priced.
