After a visit of the Castillo de Sagunto, going done the hills, we stopped at "La Taverna de la Serp". We were first curious about the name, with Snake-shape sign. We discovered this lovely little restaurant where we had a delicious warm sandwich (ham, cheese and tomatoes... yummy!). The service was very friendly, the atmosphere relaxed. A perfect stop after a nice walk around the ruins of the castle above.

First time I went, I was very well impressed for the quality starters and the wonderful paella, senyoret that time. Now I have been again to eat a new sort of paella and no disappointment, just the contrary. Do not expect luxury in the sorrounding, only in what the dishes content.

Service: at lunch they only had person serving the tables. The poor woman worked very hard and was always pleasant and professional. But just too much for one server.Humberto Food: the preparation and presentation was above average but well below the expectations based upon the reviews I had read. Portions were rather small. After an appetiser, main course and desert, I left the restaurant still hungry and my appetite is below average. The restaurant had the nerve to charge me 1.5 euros for a tiny bread roll that I never ordered. I emailed a complaint to the restaurant. The response was that the next time I visit the restaurant they will refund me the 1.50 euros. Obviously they missed the point. They should stop that practice.Hola.

We walked into a bar/cafe & ate like royalty! The food would have been more fitting in a 5* restaurant. We had a mixture of the menu & tapas that was on offer. It truly was exceptional & very unexpected. The presentation & flavor combinations were the work of a genius.

Restaurante Informal De Comida Ovolacteo Vegetariana Con Menú De Medio DÃa En Playa De Puerto De Sagunto...
Innovation working together with local and seasonal ingredients, passion in every dish followed by the most traditional combination of local identity. This little and cosy vegetarian restaurant is one of the places you should visit if you are in Puerto de Sagunto or around. My special recommendation: The daily fix price menu, served in the lunch time, incredible value for money. Other good things to highlight are the puddings and the wine menu.

After a nice walk around the castle we found this nice restaurant via trip advisor. We chose the lunch menu and were more than pleasantly surprised. The service was very friendly and the courses were of high quality, especially for the price (15 euros for 3 starters, main and dessert and 12 euros for a great bottle of Verdejo). The photos speak for themselves :). The perfect experience in this nice little town.

The location of the terrace is very nice, on the way up to (or down from) the castle site. It is a quiet location, good to enjoy the fresh air. The menu is very simple, the quality rather basic. Service slow and inconsistent. The gazpacho was nice, probably the best choice.Thank you for your opinion. The good food needs its time...
