They opened the restaurant earlier for us!Memorable dinner with excellent food and massive portions. Service devoted to make you have a very nice time. If poss make it in mushroom season it must be unique!

A most enjoyable place to have lunch/dinner. It is famous for its meat dishes. We started with "Boletus" mushrooms, followed by cooked vegetables and finished with a tender entrecote. The service was immaculate. Could not be more friendly. Beware one has to walk up a steep incline to get to the restaurant. A really lovely restaurant inside with wooden supported ceiling and wonderful vistas. Don't miss the opportunity.

We only stopped here for a drink after a climb up the stairs and requiring refreshment. The views from here are superb across the river valley to the hills beyond. We would have quite happily eaten here but had already had a late lunch. From what I could see of the manner the place is run I would have no hesitation in doing so.

It doesn't look much from the outside and I can't speak for the quick service bar area that you first enter, but turn right into the restaurant to a warm greeting, 24 hours a day, and in our case an excellent goat cheese and walnut salad, and melt in the mouth solomillo - the meat here is excellent. In a region where there isn't much by way of roadside choice, this one stands out. And Sanabria itself is well worth an overnight - try the Treixas hotel (see other review) and wander the medieval streets.

We had lunch, outside on the terras.The food is good, as is the service. Prices are adequate for what is offered.The view from the restaurant is realy GREAT!

After staying in Sanabria for a few days it quickly became clear this is the place where everyone comes. Excellent coffee, attentive staff, the best tortilla we had in all of Spain. Places like this are what make travel so much fun and engaging. Clean and simple dishes with excellent technique. We loved it!

We happened to pass by after dinner and it was so inviting that we entered to have a drink and ended having a dessert. We returned the following day to try more dishes. We loved the local dishes such as the Sopa de Sanabria and the Habones (giant white beans) both fantastic traditional cuisine.The homemade desserts from family recipes are great too! Try the Puff Pastry with cream and the baked custard with raspberries, simply delicious.There is a great variety of beers both local and Belgian.A sure bet in all ways.

We were traveling by rental car from Santiago De Compostela to the wine country north ofMadrid and ran across this place. We went in early afternoon and were the only people there. It was extremely clean and well kept. They had an amazing selection of Hams and cheeses. I got the feeling that this place supplies and ton of restaurants with different kinds of cured meats. Gluten Free friendly as I am a celiac and had no issues here. I would go there again if they were closer to a bigger city. I will be checking their website to see where they ship.
