While no one is from Spain! ( I asked ) they do have a fabulous Flamenco show once a month! Now the Osso Bucco! Is very good with a twist it has Spanish rice without the saffron...the color is there but not the flavor I suggest they are using Achiote forgive the spelling ...but the true flavor should have saffron! From Spain...The twist is sweet plantain not used in Spain but was a creative accent in the dish...The shrimp ajillo! Is very tasty and they use nice big shrimp! There are a few Italian dishes on the menu that going by us looked pretty good..The food is fresh excellent and a bargain..they have empanadas as well...Give cafe madrid a try ...you will like it !

Expected a usual seaside restaurant experience, and instead got a very good dinner. The servings were generous, the food was delicious, the price reasonable, the service was good. Would return.

Tapas Wine Bar Restaurant in Norwalk, CT also offering on and off premise catering, Wine Bar with Happy Hour Specials from 4 to 6 pm.
This was a pre-show (Wall Street Theater) meal, and what a great pick! The owner, Jaime, clearly cares about his guests and place, welcoming us cordially. The server was happy to give us her recommendations: Salad (shared) and tapas (all shared): garlic shrimp, empanadas and beef tenderloin with flan for dessert. Perfect for two, and artfully plated. This is a gem of a restaurant!!!!

We had not been to Basso in several years but our return visit was enjoyable. Friendly service, an interesting and price friendly wine selection coupled with chef driven food makes for an enjoyable meal. The special gazpacho was excellent, the tuna and mango starter was an interesting take on tuna tartare and the duck breast had a delicious sauce and was accompanied by seasonal grilled asparagus and a well executed potato au gratin.

We wandered into this restaurant after a late movie and were more than pleasantly surprised. The menu was huge, filled with mostly latin cuisine, with some authentic Peruvian dishes as well as Latin sushi and sashimi. Service was excellent and the dishes were very attractively presented. Be careful not to over order, as the appetizers are the size of entrees.

Sweet small authentic Mexican restaurant in little strip mall. Burrito primavera was filled with veggies and topped with a cheese sauce and laid in a tomatillo sauce- delish! Enchiladas verses -4 enchiladas with cheese, chicken and sauce over all filling and good. The tacos manzanilla - 3 shrimp taco with a spicy coleslaw in corn tortillas. Would have liked the tacos a little warmer but they were very tasty. Guacamole is very good. We would definitely return.

Barcelona Wine Bar & Restaurant is a warm and welcoming tapas bar inspired by the culture of Spain. The ever-changing menu is focused on clean flavors, seasonal ingredients, specialties from Spain and the Mediterranean, and rustic small plate presentation
This restaurant used to be in South Norwalk near Washington Street. Food is as good if not better than at old location. Tried more than 12 different tapas. All of them innovative and well prepared and we found a wide selection of wines by the glass and reasonably priced. Service is efficient and friendly. The bar is very nice and intimate.

Expect the unexpected from Michael Young, the owner of Valencia Luncheria as has conquered many different styles of food without compromise. Youngâs interest in cooking developed at an early age as every Sunday he would watch and study his father, a chef in a French restaurant, cook a meal for his family. My friend and I went around 12:30 pm and were surprised to see how small it looked, but once inside, it looked roomy and fun! Despite a crowd, we were seated at a table right away. The atmosphere of the place was exciting and lively. There was catchy music playing in the background as waiters and waitresses milled around trying to serve as many tables as possible. The food is inspired Latin American. The menu was extensive, making it hard to choose which item we wanted. As an appetizer we started off with a helping of chips and guacamole. The chips were good, and despite being mushy the guacamole was solid. In addition, we also got one beef arepa and empanadas which were delicious. I suggest you share a plate with someone because the portion sizes are hefty and filling. The prices are very reasonable offering great value for the food. I am recommending Valenicia as a great place to go if hungry and you are looking to spare your wallet some major damage.
