We frequented this place daily while visiting Bermeo. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak some English. This helped a lot when describing the many tapas ingredients. We sampled many of the tapas which were delicious and in the evening the fresh fish dishes were excellent. You can eat indoor or out and take in the ambiance as it is right on the front of the port. Highly recommended. eskerrik asko Marga estamos encantados de tener cientes tan buenos como vosotros muchas gracias

We ate here on the recommendation of our guide. We were all set to order off the menu, but the owner recommended some other dishes, so we agreed. 250⬠later we found out those recommendations were way out of line with prices on the menu. Don't waste your money.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our host in San Bartolomeo and so, although we would have been happy to continue feasting on pintxos we decide to lunch there. We made a reservation but when we arrived no one greeted us or took any notice of us whatsoever. We therefore announced ourselves and were told our table was outside as we had requested so to go out and we would be seated. We were further ignored and so eventually seated ourselves. Orders were taken and all went well with the first course. The salad was good and plentiful and the chips crisp, although we would have preferred them to come with the fish! We then sat for a long time with empty plates while the waitresses flapped around clearing tables. There was no rush for tables at this time so I think customers should have come first. The bacalao finally arrived and I found it tough and salty. I persevered and managed to eat half but had to leave the rest as I found it inedible. Another long wait for our plates to be cleared. When asked if everything was alright (clearly not, as I had left so much) I explained what was wrong. I was offered an alternative but by this time the meal had taken so long I really didn't want to start again, I asked twice for the bill and after another long wait it arrived. I took it to the bar to pay as I was tired of waiting. I'm not looking forward to telling our host how disappointed we were as he clearly rates this place. Perhaps we were unlucky but we won't be going back. Pintxos for us in future.I'm sorry for your experience in our restaurant. I believe that all opinions are constructive to improve our service , food and location. The priority for us is that the customer feel good at all levels . Although I think that the score was a bit excessive .Anyway sorry and thank you for your visit.

TÃpico asador vasco.
Stopped by chance for lunch and although the place was very busy it seemed that locals were in the majority which is always a good sign. The service was excellent and quick and Anna looked after us perfectly.Had the menu of the day which was 3 courses and about 5 choices in each-.all for 12 Euros a person. For starters we had the fish soup which arrived in a large tureen with enough for 3 large bowls each plus fresh crusty bread. That itself would have satisfied us but the fish course for my wife and the meat course for me was too delicious to turn down!! Could not manage any more so just had coffee and unfortunately had to leave immediately for the airport.Lovely views and in the summer it is possible to eat outside on the terraceMuchas gracias por su opinión

We really like Kafé Loidxie. If you get a table outside you have a nice view over the harbour Portu Saharra. We had clamps in tomato sauce and some cod fish sashimi.

Was looking for a place to try the local dish, marmitaka, in Bermeo, and wasn't disappointed. This place looks like it got stuck in time in the 70s. But the staff was extremely polite and helpful. The food was delicious. And the price -quality amazing. I'd recommend a stop if in town and hungry.

With the help of one extremely nice lady, who literally walked us to the restaurant, we did find the right place to eat called âBermeoko Kafe Antzokiaâ.No tourists there, excellent service and one absolutely charming young girl, who spoke perfect English and translated the menu for us. For starter, we had mixed salad with tuna and delicious lentils with sausage. For the main course, we both had turbot with greens, and for desert we decided in the traditional Basque creme - it was mouthwatering... too bad I forgot the name of it. We also got a bottle of red wine, a big bottle of water and delicious bread included in the 13⬠per person price. Unbelievable!Thank you for making our short stop in Bermeo so memorable!

Best restaurant in Bermeo. Excellent fresh fish and the best steaks, all cooked on the charcoal grill. 3 different dinning áreas, large parking and great views of the town and the ocean. 20 minutes away from the famous site, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. 35 m
nice atmosphere in a very authentic basque restaurant, nicely decorated. The food was good (garlic soup and the tuna in tomato sauce) but didn't meet my expectations which derived from the phantastic reviews. the plates were really cold hence the fish cooled down quickly. the service was a quite informal yet friendly. 65⬠for two soups, two tunas, two glasses of wine, a bottle of water and two coffees is on the upper end for the "whole thing"be aware if you order bubbled water they serve you vichy catalan, which contains lots of salt / natrium :)

A cosy bar with tapas centrally located in the heart of Mundaka. Pleasant, family friendly atmosphere with great music and outstanding pintxos.
This family-friendly bar is an excellent place to hang out (a relaxed, talkative crowd), check your e-mail (free Wi-Fi) and eat pintxos (tapas). After visiting all the restaurants and bars in Mundaka, we always returned to La Leñera. The food is excellent, the atmosphere laid-back and the owners tremendously friendly and warm. I highly recommend it.
