Sigue siendo un referente en Matalascañas, a pesar de su justa carta, el servicio y su comida están de 10. Pizzas riquÃsimas y carne ibérica de categorÃa. Recomendable.

You will not be disappointed if you go to here. The very friendly welcome truly was exceptional. The restaurant is family owned for over fifty years and they have 'got it right'. Eat in the lovely courtyard or inside in the huge restaurant. There is a menu on a lectern for all to browse before sitting and for those who do not speak any Spanish or very little the lovely waiter is only too willing to test his English. If you cannot understand the munu the lovely waitress (they are all owners) will take you by the hand and lead you into the ultra-clean kitchen where you can see the food for yourself before you choose. This also lets you know just how proud they are of their cleanliness. The menu is three course at a fixed price which you will find very reasonable. Include a bottle of wine to compliment your meal as wine too is very reasonable. The food is typical Spanish and we started with the home made soup...delicious. My wife had the fish which as we are right by the sea was probably caught that very morning as it looked and tasted so fresh. I had the Iberian pork loin...Lomo...and Potatas Fritas...chips. Delicious and so well presented. Dessert or Postra, was also very good which, with the friendliness of the staff and the presentation of the food made this restaurant an excellent choice for us. Plenty of parking in the street outside or you can catch a local bus. From here you can also walk to the small town where you will find everything you would want to find including a hairdressers for men and women. You will find this restaurant as it is just past the Guadia Civil station and the restaurant building is painted white. Do try it as we highly recommend it.

Located on the beach. We went there for dinner on a Sunday night (10:30 pm) in July. there were only a few tables which made us a little skeptical. But to our surprise the food was excellent and the service outstanding as well. Highly recommend the fresh "carabineros"--not cheap, but well worth it.

Visited a number of times on a recent visit to the area, good service, good food. The dining room, whilst clean and tidy could do with a bit of brightening up. The wine list is not very big, but, what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in quality and value. At least one local hotel should visit this place to see what decent food is like !

Nice lunch with the family and at a very reasonable price.Shared some "tortillas de camarones" followed by black rice with squid. I would recommend the rice dish. Swordfish on the kids menu was appreciated.Waiter was helpful and friendly without being overbearing. Was quite busy for Sunday lunch considering its early in the season, (late April).

A pesar de tenerlo cerca de nuestra casa de vacaciones, no habÃamos ido nunca... Error! Hemos comido genial! Excelente calidad, excelente atención x parte de todos los camareros y buena relación calidad-precio. Sin duda de lo mejor de Matalascañas. Si quieres comer bien y pagar la cuenta satisfecho, este es tu sitio

We loved the food at this small, hard to find Bar a few blocks from the ocean boardwalk. The clams in garlic sauce were succulent and of course required lots of bread for dipping. My grilled squid topped with shrimp came with a nice salad and was well prepared. My friend had a nice solomillo steak. Very friendly service with great inexpensive food. Nos alegra atender y servir a personas como vosotros. Todo un lujo! Intentamos cada dÃa superarnos y la razón : nuestros clientes. Un saludo y esperamos volver a veros

It's perfectly understandable why this place is never empty and why you sometimes have to wait for available tables. The food is rich in taste and leaves you full in all ways possible, both traditional and unique cuisine. Very attentive personnel, ready to help and thoroughly explain everything to foreigners. Kids friendly, despite being not much of a family restaurant. Definitely worth visiting in Matalascañas. Try Salad La Peña and Cod! NB! Blueberry cheescake is not an American version cake but a really tasty dessert with fresh cream and jam. Worth ordering!

The food is high quality versions of many traditional Spanish Bar/ Restaurant foods. But the quality is much better than normally found. They use unique ingredients to make thier dishes special. Even the croquetas are special, the ones with cola de toro could not have had more meat, almost expected a bone in the center! Thier flamequin with white asparagus and an almond salsa (turron type flavor to salsa...amazing) was great. Only drawback is they have few tapas, mainly racions. Tapas work better for children, but that is a choice, so my marks are still high for them. Been before, will go again.
