Find out what Spanish restaurants to try in La Gomera. One of the seven Canary Islands, sun-drenched Gomera is one of the less visited of this Atlantic archipelago. Offering the perfect escape, Gomera's attractions include dramatic beaches, trails through tropical mountain scenery and misty rainforest. Hike the mysterious Garajonay National Park or mountainous Cumbre de Chijere. Soak up the sun in scenic Valle Gran Rey or on Puerto de Santiago's pretty beach. Popular with the yachting crowd, Gomera is reached by air or ferry from the other Canaries.

The first day of its season and we discovered this pretty, German-owned fish restaurantat the end of the Hermigua valley and above the roaring Santa Catarina beach. Tremendous Sea Bass. Booked on leaving for the next day and a sun burst of a paella beautifully presented.

Above all, the Gomeran fish casserole. The excellent surrounding sea, its unique crops and characteristic manners are its gastronomyâs main ingredients - simple and tasty. Traditional dishes include watercress soup, âalmogroteâ (cheese paste), boiled blen
Hotel in a beautiful location with wonderful grounds Most staff very friendly Just a few gripes The sauna was out of action and at the weekend ferry noise kept us awake all night ( not the hotels fault but surely this can be stopped ? ) Also the restaurant is good but overpriced and the snack bar menu is poor - improving these and just slightly lowering food prices could see the eating areas much fuller A shame because overall a lovely hotel .

Very nice lamb balls and fantastique beef. You need to book in advance because lots of people know how good this food is and how personal and high EQ the service is.

Canario , Mediterráneo y tradicional con productos de las islas y a ser posibles gomeros de temporada
We had an excellent meal here, among others a wonderful steamed octopus. Desserts definitely deserve a mention - especially the specialty of the house. One star less is only due to the fact that the waiter (or an owner?) told one client to go outside and clean her shoes. It is a fact that her shoes were a bit muddy, looking like after a hike, but I didnât find it too polite.

Small place located right on the coast, with a nice atmosphere. We regret to communicate that we do not work with reservations.
A real beach bar, just yards from the sea. Cool beer. Freshest of fish, beautifully cooked. Tables under cover and outside under umbrellas. Simple decor, slightly worn but it adds to the charm! Friendly staff. A lovely place to hang out!

We were disappointed because compared to the price not quite cheap for the island's targhet, we found the fish not good. We found the fish tasteless. It looked like it was old and heated.Only positive notes the friendliness of the staff and the wine list. A little 'to be a restaurant that is at the top of the island.Hi Jon A,We regret that the food has not been to your liking and we would like you to have told our staff to offer them some alternative.Greetings,

Have eaten here many times and feel so sorry for them that the seafront construction is so far behind schedule and still causing them problems (they currently donât open at lunchtime due to the noise and dust). The wonderful view of the harbour is temporarily obscured by a high fence around the building works. Please DONT LET THIS PUT YOU OFF going in the evening as the food is still excellent- especially the fish. Good wine served too. The head waitress can be a little severe but soon warms if you smile nicely! So concentrate on the food and wine and youâll have a lovely time. Especially good starter is Clams in white wine, then go for whatever catch of the day is. It will be beautifully cooked and very tasty.

The expectation were pretty high, we had read some reviews about this place and we decided to go and give it a try.Every bite was magnificent. Good presentation, nice atmosphere (inside or outside), interesting proposals, really tasty dishes...There is a resume of the experience:1). Tuna Tataki: My previous experience with tatakis had been not so satisfied. People used to say a good tataki is magnificent, but I would disagree on that. Well; this time, tataki was perfect. It has all I ever asked. It was a little cooked so you can see the different color to the inward. It comes with two sauces aside just in case youâd like to try, and with some algae salad. The feeling in your mouth was indescriptible. Soft, tender, perfect fission between the tuna and the sauces with sesame seeds... wow.... in a word: fascinating 2). Ceviche: Although I had tried a few different ceviches. Every time I have the chance I like to try different versions of it. I must say this was one of my favorites. Very original, using exotic fruits and foam on it. It has the right acidity and the crunchy side with fried banana... fantastic proposal.3). Smoked prawns: this was a really original dish. At first sight it doesnât seem any novel. They took an apparently simple dish and make it really unique with a hint of smoke on it. Once they uncovered the lid you notice the bouquet, and when you put the good into your mouth, you get yourself seduced with the unusual taste.Wonderfully combined. Simple and original.

We were recommended to try this restaurant by a restaurant manager in Santiago. She wasnât wrong. The menu was not extensive but had some interesting selections. As well as fillet steaks with unusual sauces - port reduction; fig and goats cheese - they had a speciality âblack beefâ which my partner tried. He was most impressed, said it was best steak heâd had for ages. Our friends were equally impressed with both starters and mains. Just sorry we wonât have time to return on this visit to the island
