My wife and I had high expectations for this one star Michelin restaurant and we were not disappointed. The interior has a clean "country modern" elegance. The tables are widely spaced. Interestingly, there is no music in the background, lending to the calm, peaceful atmosphere. We did not opt for the tasting menu. Instead we created our own mini-tasting menus. This is facilitated by the restaurant's wise and generous practice of allowing half portions for many of the appetizers and main courses. This is an idea that should be adopted more universally! Outstanding starting courses included steak tartare (very large portion), oxtail ravioli (delicious, but tiny portion and surprisingly more expensive than the steak) and octopus tartar. The 2 fish dishes (half portions) were superb; both seemed to "melt" in our mouths. We finished with 2 desserts (probably should have ordered only one!) - chocolate soufflé's and a carmelized french toast creation. More wows! Wine was very affordable, with an excellent selection. Service was perfect - attentive, coordinated, friendly, informative. This was a terrific experience.

Quiet restaurant in a residential neighbourhood in San Sebastian. Easy parking and a cool terrace for enjoying breakfast, meals, dinners and with great coffee and drinks. Gluten free menu avaiable. More detailed info in social networks and our website.
Great meal with the team. Excellent service!Maybe a little high prices but the quality of the food worth it.Thank you for your visit and these kind words you wrote. We may not be the cheapest restaurant in town, but as you wrote, the quality (and service) are worth it... Will try to improve quality and keep same prices for your next after match dinner around here. Promised. Hope to see you again. THANKS

This is a handsome Basque cottage filled with happy diners from their community. They seemed to know each other very well, conversations were passionate and animated. And good food was clearly their focus. Their Bacalau omelette was very fragrant and moist and delicious. Lettuce salad with onions was refreshing and light. Grilled porchini mushrooms was served with a poached egg on top, Fried anchovies with garlic was outstanding. Red peppers stuffed with Squid in black ink was presented like an artist's drawing with a backdrop of brilliant orange. The rice pudding dessert "arroz con leche" was delicious, not too sweet, difficult to stop eating once you've started. Hi Haebbee. Thanks a lo for your nice words towards our house and of course, we do really appreciate for choosing our house for your great meal.We try to offer the best local products, fresh cooked and served with the best service, just for our guests to feel confortable, feel like at home and have a nice culinary experience, that´s our goal. Thanks a lot and hope to see soon.Best,

We hosted our wedding reception dinner at Misura and enjoyed the chef's recommended tasting menu for our group. Everything was beautifully presented, and meticulously executed. The restaurant prides itself on using local and organic products native to the region, thereby ensuring only the freshest items of the season are used. The dishes are flavourful, thoughtful, and easily one of the best meals we've ever had. Make sure to try the 62-degree egg and cod and the tarte tatin. What a delight! Everyone was raving about the culinary experience they had that night- not to mention, the attentiveness of the staff, and warmth of the environment. Everything was perfect! We will definitely come back to Misura and Arima again for our vow renewals!!! :) Thank you again for everything!

Had lunch here yesterday with our son who has moved to Hernani. Food was truly delicious, every bite. The merluza was exceptional. The three course lunch for three people, including a bottle of both wine and local cider came to â¬48! I would highly recommend this restaurant, well worth a short train ride out from San Sebastián

Our lunch at Martin Berastegui was one of our top 3 dining experiences ever, and possibly the best. The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. The restaurant is located in the hills outside of Donostia San Sebastian in a beautiful garden setting. Lovely décor - Not many tables, but all were full. Service was impeccable â polite, efficient and pleasant. And the food â beyond amazing. Every course was beautifully presented, creative and often hid a special surprise. Flavours bursting in your mouth, one thing appearing to be something totally different. Each serving was not more than a good mouthful but so much more because of the blends and mixtures of flavours. It was clear why this restaurant has 3 michelin stars â it was above and beyond the usual dining experience. We were so happy when Chef Martin himself came over to our table so we could tell him how much we enjoyed the meal. Special thanks also to the staff who booked our reservation and for follow up correspondence!

The Artzabal has a large terrace where you can enjoy your drinks and pintxos (fingerfood) when the weather is fine. It also serves a daily menú for 9,50⬠during the week and a 19⬠special menú on weekends. Most customers are locals, the atmosphere is relaxed, service friendly and toilets clean. On the bar counter they have a wide selection of pintxos which are mostly sold at 1⬠each and are quite tempting.
