I came here for the first time several years ago , and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time we wern´t so lucky. Its overcrowded and overpriced.

We went here with a large group for lunch and the service was exceptional. The drinks and lunch were tasty and very filling. Fresh ingredients and flavorful food. They even made a special course of fried chicken and fries for us Americans. The grounds inside the wall are very nice and relaxing. There is a nice view of the mountains in the distance. The building we ate in was on the small side, rustic with lots of charm and the exposed bricks and beams. There were also places to eat outside. The restaurant has a private room and delightful wine cellar. If in the area I would recommend it.

Every time we come here it is a priceless experience and the food is amazing. The seafood is fresh and extremely tasty. The staff is the friendliest and there is nothing that can give enough stars for this restaurant.

I thought after two previous visits that it was about time I gave this restaurant a review. I've just returned from a family Mother's Day meal and yet again the quality of food and service meets the price they charge. It's a local restaurant that attracts people from the Madrid region. The set menu for â¬34,00 pp offers 4 sharing platters of fresh, creamy croquetas, pipping hot shelled prawns, sweet red pepper stuffed with tuna and oven baked goats cheese with a side of caramelised onions. I'd the main of solomillo or fillet of beef which was cooked to perfection with a side of potatoes and dessert was a sharing platter of chocolate cake, ice cream, cream & fresh fruit. There's ample parking if you travel by car otherwise buses from Madrid regularly to the village and it's a short walk to the restaurant. Great job team! See you soon again!

We did not have a good time here. There is better food for better prices at nearby restaurants, with better service too. The waiter was very rude, the tables near us were dirty - old seafood on one table was not cleared away the whole time we were there. Just rather go to any place nearby instead of El Figon.

We have visited many times on a Wednesday or Thursday for lunch with a group of girlfriends and it is consistently good. Thinly sliced tomato with garlic and salt, so simple but so tasty, the best fish and seafood prepared in a variety of ways, tortillitas de camaron, grilled shrimps, croquets, sardines, etc.. all to die for. The service is friendly and attentive and the price very well balanced for the quality served. A must visit if you are in the area.

I have been explained that this place follows the Basque tradition. The fact that it is simple (as opposed to flashy) could easily confuse the customer, but the food is really good. Try the anchovies with peppers, the jamon with cheese, the eel, the fried cheese. Besides the wine (also good) I would recommend the cider... try to fill your glass yourself... you'll find out!Thank you very much for your words!
