Great restaurants loved by locals with only ten tables. We were lucky we went there after 10pm and got a table immediately. The produces are incredibly fresh and all local. The choices of tapas is varied, Andalusian squid, cazuelita de pisto with quail egg, Bacalao from Rioja, squid tempura. This is also a good place for skewers with onions and anchovy. The place is really packed on weekends. Our server was very dedicated and friendly, helping us to understand the menu and making suggestions. Including their delicious tomatoes salad with onions and olive oil! The price is right, really not expensive. Great value for money. They offer a daily menu for â¬12 which is a âstealâ.

un buen asador en Ezcaray, a buenos precios si tomamos en cuenta que es un asador, ambiente agradable, buena atención, sazón casera. grata opcion en Ezcaray, donde siempre se come excelente.

The place, the location , the scenery is really worth the trip to this isolated area in La Rioja. Abeautiful place, instilling peace and quietness.... But the food is, from a Riojanan point of view, just terrible. Sorry to say but not onlky the food was low quality, the service was worst than the food and the wines were of an unknown origin, which is a real sin in La Rioja with such a great variety of great cheap wines! A pity really!!!Let´s hope they read this and think about it and make a change for good! A pity really!!!!

Great food, excellent prices and good wine. We all enjoyed our food here from the simple tomato salad to the more complex plates, all were good, tasty and fresh. Service was also excellent and friendly.

Rural house Zaldierna is located in the village of Zaldierna, a rural environment in a privileged place, a natural and scenic enclave in the heart of the valley of Oja. Surrounded by nature, it is one of the first rural houses in La Rioja, a haven of peac
We liked the idea of being looked after by our genial hostess ensconced within the thick walls of the town. She is a legend not only in her pleasant good manners and a gregarious humour but her accumulated knowledge of things local cannot be matched. Dinner was the best that home cooked anywhere followed by the home-made breakfast had nothing that originated in a carton, with the honey that she garrisons up in the hills eclipsing any flavour i have ever enjoyed.. The casa is comfy to the max, sleep coming in with the best zzzz ever.

We had a great time in this bar/restaurant. Definitely a local favorite. Casual but with good food and great Rioja wine. Definitely on our list for a return visit!

Found Echaurren Tradicion on Trip Advisor and thought from what I read it would be worth the drive away from the wine region. They definitely are off the beaten path (about 30-40 minutes from Haro), but it is definitely worth it! We decided to go a la carte and were thrilled with our choices. We loved everything we had, especially the meatballs (a house specialty) which were awesome and had a bit of hedonism to them with some truffles added. The sommelier, Jose Felix, gave us a wonderful recommendation for a wine from their list (MASSIVE list of local wines) and then followed that up with some excellent recommendations on wineries to visit. Just about all of their wait staff spoke some degree of English so we never had any linguistic issues. If you are a foodie, I HIGHLY recommend that you make a reservation to go here (lunch is an excellent way to experience this Relais et Châteaux property without killing your travel budget!). And be sure to tap into Jose Felix' wine knowledge (he wrote a book on Rioja and has an infectious passion for it).

The meat dishes are really tasty. They told us that the meat came from farms and free going animals from that zone of spain. The vegetables were fresh and tasty and the wine, being in La Rioja, could not be better. It had a brilliant price/quality relation!

We intended a light, non fussy lunch...m but then we saw this restaurant, looked at the menu, and we're booked! And definitely worth the decision to go in. The restaurant is calm, subtle in colour and decor, perhaps a little old-fashioned, but in a good way. Service marches the decor: calm, infused, but very professional. And the food is simply wonderful. No problem about being coeliac either.. I had the Spanish black pudding starter, followed by poached Turbot. And a fantastic pudding of lemon sorbet with Cava. Delicious. Definitely to be recommended. This place is a hotel too, but sadly we were only passing through. Another time perhaps!
