Visited Colonial based solely on Trip Advisor's good reviews and five of us had a lovely Sunday lunch. Crunchy monkfish starter was delicious as was the stuffed sea bass main course. Service was outstanding with Lily most informative and attentive. We returned the following Sunday with a party of nine and again, everything was perfect.Give this well established restaurant a try - you won't be disappointed !

Always book here , if not you will be disappointed. We opted for the a la Carte menus as the tasting menu on the night was different from that on the restaurants webpage. Service was attentive but at time slightly erratic. The night didnât get of well when the cocktail glass from one of our cocktails was marked with lipstick, rather of putting, we accepted the apology and continued with our meal. Food is first class and the flavours are exquisite. We opted to share 4 entrees that are a good size to share, the portions are not big. The highlight if the meal was the soft crab and the tuna tataki. This restaurant is best to get to by taxi if you are having a break here in Elche. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.Thank you so much for your opinion Gareth! We like to offer to all our guests a fine service, so they can go satisfied :)We'd like to see you again!

We were searching for a good seafood restaurant in the Albir/Altea/Calpe area and Enrique's was recommended to us. We visited with friends over from the UK and were sadly disappointed. We arrived relatively early at 7.30pm and had our choice of seating, however it was apparent that the evenings staff were not all yet available. Having placed our order the starters arrived piecemeal and one did not arrive at all until the waiter was prompted. The shrug that accompanied the look of distain at our question really showed us how interested he was. However after that - obviously having been labelled as 'troublesome', a change of waiter for the remainder of the evening was most welcome and he was delightful. A pity that he was not there at the start or that the others could not emulate him! The food was mediocre although the choice of wines was very good. The house red and white both being very acceptable and good value. In summary we will not be returning, sorry.
Situated at the top of the main street, this restaurant was very busy on Saturday morning when the small town market was open. A good place to stop for mid morning coffee and watch the world go by. Nice outside seating terrace and friendly staff, no complaints, worth a visit.
This is a typical Spanish cafe, it is in the village square along with several other cafes, at least one of which is English. The food in this cafe was excellent.... we had 2 rounds of beers, Olives, salted nuts and a plate of white anchovies (simply superb) all of which came to less that 10Euros. Was a truly magical couple oh hours relaxing. If in the area find the square and about half way up on the left you will find this nice cafe. Look for the blind/deaf and almost toothless dog walking around, he is friendly and likes to smell everyone.

Real Spanish tapas in Hondon de las Nieves. A nice atmosphere with a bistro feel to it. Please come and enjoy and let our friendly staff welcome you.
Went for a menu of the day which I had been told when I booked the table wasâ¬10.90.We were given the menus and could not find a menu or the day anywhere!!We had to ask for a menu of the day and our waitress said oh as if we shouldnât have been having one and we should have been eating off the a la carte!!We were told the starter was goats cheese salad and the main course was meat or salmon. What we had was tasty but there was no pudding or bread or drinks or coffee included in the â¬10.90!!A very disappointing experience and costly for a 2 course lunch without anything else. The service was awfully painful and slow!!Such a shame that this restaurant doesnât seem to know what a menu of the day is!!Hi Anne, we are sorry you felt your experience was disappointing. We do always try to provide our customers with great food and a good dining experience. As you mentioned we do not include the menu del dia in our menu, as all our food is freshly prepared on the day using local produce therefore the menu del dia changes daily. Our menu del dia includes, a drink, starter, main and desert or coffee, these are listed on the bill separately but the total costing appears as 10,90⬠Maybe you should check your copy of the bill, as a beer and a coffee solo was included in the menu del dia. If you decide to give us another chance, please feel free to question the bill if you are not satisfied and as will be more than happy to go over it with you.

Bistro Restaurant with large terrace and gardens for all the family to enjoy.
Omg yet again took great friends to the Tipsy Terrace for Sunday lunch on 20 October - this is the place to impress. The restaurant has amazing decor due to Joâs very good interior design and the food was absolutely mouth watering - thanks to Steve - fab chef - again all our friends cannot wait to visit againHi Chiantiuk, your review is exactly the sort we love to receive. An established customer who recommends Tipsy (or actually accompanies new guests to the restaurant) and leaves with new advocates of the Tipsy experience who hopefully will return and even spread the word further. Fantastic! Thank you for your praise, recommendation and maximum Trip Advisor rating. They all mean a great deal to us.

Been here a couple of times and the atmosphere is very much a busy local haunt day an night. Last time was on a particularly busy fiesta evening and so the place was very full and service suffered as a result but to be fair they did well under the circumstances. Food is adequate but not fine dining. We had a que of people waiting to take our table when we finished so that says it all I guess.

I have visited Vambu on a number of occasions and have always been impressed with the quality of the coffee and snacks and my latest visit was no exception. It is efficiently run by a friendly couple and the service is excellent. It is a very popular location for locals and tourists alike and should not be missed if you are in the area.
